  • Ha! how appropriate that I'm watching this after Bolton just played away at Blackburn and won 2-1!

  • Stephen sounds like Brian Wilde here.

  • Stephen Fry looks the spitting image of the guy from Last Of The Summer Wine!

  • In what accent is Stephen talking here?

  • @AcousticTears1 Going on a limb here, I'm guessing it's from somewhere around Lancaster? It sounds like his accent in the "Don't Be Dirty" sketch, but less exaggerated. I'm not from the UK (American), but I'm trying to learn myself.

  • @Veggieman87 yorkshire actually, but both yorkshire and lancshire are northen accents so your not too far off :)

  • Stephen could keep the conversation remarkably on track for a warbling old man :)

  • dovepot

    awwww ;)

  • Hugh laurie... looks like my mom.

  • Fry's voice sounds a lot like one of the guys from the last of the summer wine...

  • Genius. They are still unequalled, twenty years later

  • Haha, love Hugh as a woman and Stephen as an old man xD

  • I'm slightly attracted to Hugh Laurie right now. And I'm female. Lol. :)

  • drowned in a mixed salad?

  • 42 beats of the heart isn't right,

I'm sorry the hospital's where you spent your night.

If it continues to slow, I will have to think...

That you're turning to a zombie... Man, that would stink.

Get Well Soon, Mattie! :) Don't eat my brain...

  • @JoEmily744 HAHA ... YOU.ARE.AWESOME ... Marry me now? lol ... that made me really smile xD

  • I love how Hugh keeps calling him those cute little pet names.

    heeheehee

    ;p

  • my first wife drowned in a mixed salad in 1978.

LOL! i was laughing about that for the rest of the sketch

  • @TheMatthewTE

    SPOILER :(

  • "dozens! we got dozens, dozens we got!"

  • "They can be nasty, them spazzums"

  • No words can describe the sheer brilliance of this sketch !

  • MAGNIFICENT!!!!

  • As much as I love Hugh, he makes a ugly women.

  • my........that is specific

  • Seriously, Hugh Laurie is one good looking woman =P Hilarious, I love it. Fry and Laurie are two awesome comedic minds!

  • I know, it's frightening isn't it!!

  • "Sorry to hear your teeth fell out in the Arndale Centre" - Fell off my chair and nearly passed out laughing.

  • hugh's a great woman in this :op

  • Hugh always plays a great woman.

  • Heavy make-up, cheap wig, ugly blouse and plastic beads... and Hugh still looks HOT!

  • amazing! i think these two should be honored world wide for their talent somehow.. kings of earth for a day? they're the best!!

  • This and the marmalade sketch are my favorites from series 3

  • Seriously, Hugh could make a very convincing and pretty woman if he really tried. ^.^

  • Did you ever see that episode of Blackadder in which Hugh Laurie was a transvestite? He actually looked kind of pretty xD.

  • That has to be my favourite Blackadder episode, I would have love to seen the ball!!!!

  • Do they have: Happy Birthday Michaell Phillepedies?

  • "I'm right sorry to lean ya

    Succumbed to another nasty hernia

You mustn't lift what you cannot carry

All the best, your grandson, Harry"

    ROTFLMAO!!

  • I love this sketch so much! "It's the acid rain, I think." Hugh reminds me of a lady in a charity shop where I live who calls all the customers "sweetheart" or "m'darlin'" Not quite so varied as "duck" or "petty-love" or "chooker-pet" I know. These two men are nothing short of brilliant.

  • I LOVE their voice acting. KUDOS to Stephen Fry for his voice... warble.

  • Oh my LORD I cannot thank you enough for uploading this. I do have the entire series on DVD but I cannot go without watching it on youtube by itself. This is my all-time favourite sketch from ABOFL. :)

  • Hahaha I love this, Hugh does look sexy doesn't he? Lol. And I love Stephen's shaky-old-man voice.

  • "They can be nasty, them spasms..." Hugh is a worryingly convincing woman.

  • Yes, and what's even more astounding is that he doesn't even attempt to do a higher pitched feminine voice, and yet he still IS an absolutely convincing woman. It's amazing.
