I'm curious to know if my Mom's shore was flooded. She passed away in March 2011 suddenly and her sisters decided to sell the house. My family and I have no claim to it and right now I'm kinda glad so we don't have to deal with the damage.

@TrackStar2596 fantasy island was under a good amount of water earlier on, i did not go directly past, but the whole area was. however, a good majority of water went down in my time out and about-- it should be okay, unless the bay went back up around 8pm like it was supposed to...not sure of this at this time

@bam1424 most of beach haven was under water at some point but now is not so bad. the bay however, might have crept back up a little bit around 8. not sure at this point

@kimrainer Holgate was pretty beat up, went down there a bit ago. Bay met the ocean, sand and debris places but overall- not a ton of damage compared to what it could be. Flooding tonight from the bay could be a problem

went past Joey's about 7pm tonight and there was water up to the door. return to BH Inlet and things are remarkably good--no power outage but lots of erosion. We had way more damage in Essex county than down here.

@superbknyc not as of yet. i have heard rumors the bridge will be opened for residents only today but with the flood on the blvd still being pretty tremendous and high tide for the bay coming at 8pm tonight again, i am unsure. follow my updates on my site and twitter for more

As I posted on my website, if someone wants to hire me for a report and video of their home or street, I can be hired. It is too much to track down, evade police film and edit individuals right now- especially at this large amount of requests. Hope you understand

I know you don't want to check out one home, but have you by any chance checked out 25 & 26th in Ship Bottom on Central. It always seems to flood there and I wondered what it looked like today. @TheKFoxy 25th is actually where we had to stop this morning and flooding started, down from there a little bit was a gas spill from an underground source, might not be the best condition right now...i will keep you posted

Hey! When did you take that last footage on Cedar Bonnet Island? Can you go on the other side of the causeway from the Dutchmans? My mom's house is right on the water over there. I want to see how high the water got.

@agalligani Hey, I did not get CBI footage. I can't really cross the bridge right now or I won't be allowed back on. If I hear anything, I will let you know. I imagine though, from what I have seen here, that the bay probably did a good amount of rising.

did u go down 4th street by the school... my friends have a house there and havent herd anything... they r worried that water could be inside since the lagoon is there backyard.

@cmende09 Have not heard anything or traveled to either of those. Thinking of going down later however, the police are trying to keep people off the roads still so I have hesitant to travel too far

Nick, where are you getting your info on the causeway opening? Anyplace that we can tap into? We were in touch with the Harvey Cedars police earlier, got news that our power was on, but no word on the causeway and 72.

@Modonrob Central has a good amount of water on it currently, as does Barnegat. BLVD at about 24th street was starting to get a little deep around 8-9am, not sure right now how it is

@charliebruno94 From what I hear, just some flooding right now. Beach erosion overall, a bit, but nothing too enormous.

@linkedit yes i live in ship bottom, some flooding, nothing else too too significant from what i have seen. high tide might be a pain though. bridge should open for residents tonight

@superbknyc most likely tomorrow. I believe since the police/etc have people off the island, they will want to wait until flood waters go down before letting people back on. my father is down in beach haven right now, i can let you know if i hear anything new!

Hi Nick! Thank you so much for posting this! I have a question - when you filmed 5th street, you showed the downed phone line and entrance to the beach...I'm the oceanfront on the left - the grey one with the driftwood whale on the front. I'm wondering how the house held up - looks like a lot of water and sand but not too much else damagewise? @JudyMcCrea did not look like a problem at all at any of the houses. ocean front on the right looks like it might have had a problem with the 2nd floor windows, im not sure if you know who they are? my grand father is Ed Haberek, he owns across the street by the way

Hey, I rented a house in Beach Haven this week - what do you think is the probability that I can head to it tomorrow? Do you know when everything will open up - have you heard any news? Keeping my fingers crossed that I can head down there!! I've never been to LBI before!

@brooklynkaren1 i would say it is likely tomorrow should be okay, but i have not heard anything. it IS possible to drive around, they just don't want you too i think. since they have people off already i believe they would wanna keep em off until some flooding goes down and all that. i will post if i hear official word.
