Do you have a numeric pad on your keyboard?

If so, check the numbers.

8 is up, 5 is neutral and 6 would be right.

so 22b would be down, down B.

First, Join games with 5 in connect rating, And dont create games unless your internet is a Ethernet, Thats the way not to experience lag on it.

I dunno about laggings or spammings or cheap shots but u should get used to them..I play SC4 online and I execute any moves I wanted even combos...It takes skills, and quick analysis...besides, if you do less few moves repeatedly then some hardcore players will able to predict the moves and use it for their advantage...so I suggest to practice lots of different numerous combos and defend style so ur moves would be unpredictable...

also wanted to post that both your opponents had a 3 connection, and could even see that from this video as displayed at the bottom of the screen on their side. and here i was expecting a spammer to have basic internet knowledge

1 - can't remember the second match, but the first match actually was a 4 connection when shown on the server list, so it changed right before he match (it sometimes changes during a match too, I've had a couple of times matches slow down on connections of 4+)

2 - got nothing to do with anything I said people spam in both modes =/

3 - never said I was pro, read description. I'm rusty Taki here, I actually play Siegfried style now

4 - and a lot of bad ones =/

1. Online mode doesnt lag, its either your connection or the person your playing with. Anything under 4 causes input lag, but most people have a 4+ connection. Thats why you host or search for sessions with good connections, unless your internet is the problem

3. Your are not pro spamming moves with taki

I've been hearing opposing responses from people who play this online. Some say that whoever has the better connection has an advantage but I've heard from others that as long as one person's connection lags a bit it affects the person with the bad connection and the person with the good connection. I think the latter is right and makes more sense either way. Even with a 5 connection, there's a split second between when you press a button and when something happens. SCIV online sucks cuz of this

if someone has a connection of 3 or lower, both people lag. the game is played at one negotiated speed, which is a result of the average of both players connection, but 3 is enough to cause input lag. If both players have a 4 or 5 connection, the game flows like silk and there is no difference from 4+.  I have a 5 connection and i boot the 3's that come into my game every once in a while, and have never had input or any other lag. The service is perfect, some peoples crap internet is not.

You're right about the lag - it pretty much wrecks a game like SC4 where split-second timing is crucial to winning. Hope they fix it soon.

onlines fine if you play someone with a good connection. theres always a counter to people who spam moves, and i'm not talkin about guard impacts.

i use misturugi alot because people use him to just spam move..but hes good against like..siegfriedn nightmare and maxi if their spamming or buttong mashing with maxi..what i do is use the back vertical attack when their mashing and then get in and get some combos in and go back out..playing with good players on theirs fun as hell tho

Yeh I agree, it gets tedious when you get players with 1337 mashing skills. I love using my created character with nightmares skills. I know every combo and love his middle body to lower moves it really confuses people, and if you are on the floor your screwed because i've found I have the potential to ring you out from mid arena if you aren't careful =] Its a great game overall even if the created chars are limited. I think SC4 is an average online game because of the cheap spamming moves people use,each character has over 50 moves but when people use 2 of them for 3 rounds makes this game SUCK.UMK3 for 360 best online fighting game.

NO you dont get the point. Same is with tekken 5:DR. I can lose with average player who use moves that are good vs lag (for example throws - u almost cant reverse it because u have 5-8 frames for that and lag is 5-8 frames..) and have no problem to be top Lili in my country (one of best) offline games, even vs best DJ / Anna in my country tho.

If you are not pro in SC4/Tekken dont say stuff like that because You have NO IDEA what author of this movie wanted to say. Trust me.

tip: strong signal (4-5) equals good connection. any lower you're bound to loose. no matter how good you are.

I hate it when all people can do is duck and hit your feet, use a single move, or use cheap characters like mitsirugi (who needs to be nerfed), cervantes, nightmare, seigfried (sp), and other bigger characters. [Thats why I use starkiller or Kilik, so if people become noobs i just kick them until its over or they quit]

Bad thing is to win you pretty much have to do all that stuff back at them, it creates bad habits.

Funny how you mention the characters, a lot of people see Kilik as cheap which is who you use. Wheres I use a Siegried style CaS which you (and others) see as cheap.

I think ultimatly what happens is because of the online it makes MOST of the characters cheap compared to how they would perform if use 1 on 1 in an arcade.

With controller lag yes. What you can't see in this video is me htting the buttons.

I try doing Taki's izuna drop which I can do, but it doesn't come out on here.

Sometimes I'd do Starkillers leviation into air juggle but his first swipe misses making the rest miss.

Simply put going online all you can do is each characters 5-10 best moves rather than how I can actually play/played before I gave SC a long rest.

The online really is a joke. I was really looking forward to it, but alot of real noobs just ruin it. The most annoying things besides spaming moves is how everyone is playing cervantes with this stupid purple armor on. The game already has a f-ing metagame! It only came out a week ago. Going online is no longer fun. Because of noob players i can never win a match anymore. Ive been playin soul cal since sc2 but noobs are just ruinin the series.

I like the online play, sure there's a lot of lag if you have a bad connection but it adds something to the experience I guess. Anyways I AM a PRO Soul Calibur player and I use Asta so add me my gt is kalel2527
