  • THAT IS COOL AS HELL I WANNA GO THERE

  • everyone guess how much that cost them to create that!!!!

    A: 400 Million

  • snow flex is rubbish it is so sticky in summer although the water mist is still on but okay in snowy winter

  • looks awesome.....i want a park like that just outside my home please :P

congrats btw .....is this place open all year ?

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I WANT THIS IN SWITZERLAND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

  • looks like a ton of fun. holy cow must it be awful for the environment though. skiing in winter is bad enough, but this?

  • We have sports like that in Canada but ya gotta do it when its cold n stuff. haha Smart smart Europeans.

I ride in Banff every weekend and somehow I'm still jealous

  • @PrayForSnow5 What are you saying? If youre saying what I think you are, you never heard about the alps. But then again, I might totally have misinterpreted what u wrote.

  • cool!!!

    PONHAM UM DESTE NO PORTO!!!!!

  • God I want something like this near me.. I'd be there every day:P

  • sickk

  • Dosen't hurt like crazy to crash?

  • no its softer to land on than snow

  • @nimsxmx its actually softer than reg. "hard" snow

  • @nimsxmx Not really, snow like that would be icy, and this has a layer of softness:P

  • breath so there is an argument for riding CO2 so we have healthier air for breathing and simply because we are running out in next 50yrs of fossil fuel so need an alternative

  • Global warming is false however climate change is very real, i.e we had a steaper rise in temp than usual and now we are having a steaper fall in temp than usual so there is more turbulance in the weather system which explains why we have more catastrophies, floods, earth quakes etc, nothing to do with CO2, the planet has had much greater CO2 in atmosphere is distant past when we had more active volcanoes however the temp was not effected. CO2 and other pollutants are however not ideal to

  • im getting some of this or powderpak or something for my backyard hill so i can snowskate year round

    man this looks bad ass

  • do you have to wax?

  • lol, these are the profiters of global warming.. Glad we will be able to save skiing though. Hope this technology will come to sweden, although theres a shit load of snow in sweden right now.

  • @pegelatrin

im in wisconsin, USA, we got about 2 feet of snow now, but it would be badass to have one of these hills around to practice during the summer!

  • Global Warming is a myth, it is normal for the planet to warm and cool in a cycle of every 30 yrs or so mainly due to the sun's behaviour. The planet has now started to cool for the last two yrs which would help explain why snow has been very good for the last couple seasons.

This snowflex is good for when you want to mess about for a couple hrs after work for example or out of season, a good snowdome is better but usually more expensive, its nice to have a cheaper option

  • very neat

  • 4:18 epic

  • there aint no season pass :)

IT IS ALWAYS PLASTIC SOMEWHERE :)

  • whats that yellow plastic stuff called and where can i buy it

  • that's "yellow snow"--don't eat it!

  • YEY its good i go to Bellahouston in Glasgow but it doesn't compare to snow

  • anyone what the landing is like is it soft, hard or what?

  • The Snowflex system has 4 layers and the second layer is a shock absorbing material that lessen an inpact. We've seen some hard landings and they get up just OK. Id say that real snow and ice is sometimes much harder to land on. Overall, some safe stuff, plus you dont get your digits tore up in open voids.. theyre are none like the older surfaces.

  • @frntline its supposed to be softer to land on than actual snow.

  • @frntline it hrts like a bitch broke my arm and pulled my groin going of the bigest jump here

  • liberty university is gettin 1

  • Haha! I can see where they are going to build the snowflex in morgan hill from my house!

  • whats a season pass to there cost

  • where is this? plz send me on a mail.

  • france ya stupid fuck

  • Not only is it in the title, but have you heard of a site called google?

  • nice!

  • How arent the rails sticky?

  • The surface of SNOWFLEX is lubricated by water. Periodically, water is misted over the slope which creates speed and reduces equipment wear. The water mist is then recycled at the base of the slope, stored, filtered ,and used again in a closed loop pump system.

  • HAHA Im getting one of these in morgan hill!

  • Word. I cant wait. I'm going to be in Morgan Hill all day.

  • That is amazing! I hope they make one where I live!

  • When Bailing on snowFlex... Does it hurt?,... Like is that shit soft or something?

  • The shock-absorbing layer (of the 4 layer system) is designed to absorb the hard hits- much softer than landing down on hard snow or ice!

  • youtube spencer Milbocker, amazing freestyle skier from michigan. He's the real deal almost better then hall or schiller. (definately not jump wise though)

  • oh just wait until global warming melts all your snowa and we get fresh pow!

then im gonna come and smack you ass lol

  • why does france, a country that has some of the best mountains in europe have the biggest snowflex slope in the world?

shouldn't a country like britain have it?

i think you should give it to us :)

  • that's because we love ski ...

but you're right, keep the fakes slopes and stay away from our montains !

  • we need this stuff in Missouri, USA

  • that looks fricken sweet! but i wouldnt try anything to crazy cuz u'd think it would hurt?

  • I live in Lynchburg, VA where we are getting the first version of this in the US! I'm stoked!

  • yea, at liberty university, probably where i'm goin to college :]

  • i saw this on channel 42 lol :D i had one near ontario brampton!

  • really?? outdoors?

  • Also, was that big hill it was made on already there to begin with?

  • Does it get damaged?

  • The song is "the Arguement" by the Sea and the Cake.

  • we need some of that in connecticut, usa

  • Music reminds me of Beck....

  • definitly we need that skating gets to old too kwik

  • omg we need that in the us rlly bad...cuz all we do here in the off season if skate and that gets rlly old

  • If you check out the snowflex dot com website, you'll see all the tech info and also see that they designed a shock absorbing layer that takes the impact when you fall.

  • dont u meam if u fall lol

  • What if you fall, like there is now snow so it'll hurt like a bitch.

  • Is it hurts if you'll fall ? on snowflex ?

  • please the name of the song?

    thanks

  • Hi , nice video !!

    cool music!!

    great tricks!!

    aloha from Las Leñas, Argentina.

  • what is snowflex?

  • It's kind of a plastic-brush-carpet that they spray water on. Feels a bit awkward at the start cause u can't really get ur edge in. But it's sick!

  • there is snow in new zeland =_=

  • i live in australia so i have never seen the snow. :(

  • Awesome vid. I've sen the one at bearfireresortsDOTcom. By the way who's song is playing throughout the video.

  • awesome., tight funpark

  • do no how many and where there are in the USA??? california preferred

  • It's coming to Fort Worth, Texas. Do a search for bearfireresorts to get more information.

  • how much cost to set a center like that?

  • OMG that loox amazin they shuld bring that stuff to the US

  • thats a new slope right? it looks awsome and our english ones have grass growing in them etc they disgusting in some ways!!! haha

  • thats really really really!! cool wats the name of the stuff? and do u know how it feels to fall on rather than the cold lovable snow i ride

  • Westbeach Snowflex Freestyle Series 2007.

    20th October 2007

  • muy heavy

  • This is probably the single coolest thing on earth, next to actually slopes. I want to know how falling on it feels? And I want to buy this shit for my backyard!!!!

  • omg dreamland!!! I want one in Boston :(

  • so what if snow falls on this stuff? if the resorts started using it would they have to take it up in the winter or just build over it?

  • That looks sick but that stuff can't be healthy to breathe in and I don't know about you, but the last thing the world needs is a mountain or hill completely covered in chemicals. What is Snowflex made up of?

  • Its a bit like astro turf, that you get on hockey pitches.

  • The enviromental issues have been very closely addressed by the engineers and designers to make sure that there is no health or ecological problems or issues. This was a very important element to take into consideration when SNOWFLEX was designed. Pure filtered water is used for periodic misting (to create speed) and there are no chemicals or loose flake or particles involved. If you want to see the specific components, visit the BRITON website.

  • i have this stuff i works extremely well if u have a nice hill and u keep it wet but still not even close to snow

  • i wanna go!

  • i really dont know what to think of this snowflex stuff. does anybody know the texture ans feel of it.

  • has anyone ever wondered if u fell?

i mean im thinking thats gonna hurt like crazy

skateboarding u dont get that much air, u dont go off like that big of ramps and do 1080, so im guessing this is only for ppl who are pros i mean if theres a kid that wants to try that jump and he falls hes screwed

  • Actually, its softer to fall on than snow. There is a super shock absorbant layer beneath the 1st and 3rd layer that takes the impact. Latest "safety" reports show less injury on SNOWFLEX than same numbers on real snow. For the kids that want to learn jumps, there are usually different skill level jumps that you work with on these slope layouts. Figure, thousands of skiers and boarders use this surface every week!

  • You wouldn't be attempting jumps like those unless you were at LEAST advanced intermediate.

  • wow cool we have snowflex at halifax ski slope

  • so what's all this white dust coming off the floor?

  • water

  • that's not snow?? wtf!!!

  • that is awesome.

  • Would be nice to see how the half-pipe works. Wonder if you can carve on the stuff. No carve no vert! This would do well in resort ski areas in america. Skate parks are big here, adding a half pipe would be great!

  • I need someone in my backyard

  • what is all the dust coming off of the runs

  • Its actually fine water mist your seeing. From time-to-time (depending on outdoor temperatures), water is misted over the surface from a underground grid of piping and nozzles under the entire slope.

There are 2 specific reasons water is used-- 1) to create more speed 2) to reduce surface wear on equipment

Excess water (and even rain) channels through the surface into underlayer drainage systems, directs the water into underground tanks, filters, and recyles it when needed.

  • me want snow flex. roar

  • well, thank god

we'll all need that in about 10 years

  • that soo awsome instead of the fabric they now have a better synthetic surface and ya its not sno

  • What?! skiing in the summer? cool, i wanna skiing there

  • wait... its not snow? im confused...

  • Its a fiber that is stronger than teflon for durability and performance

  • What's the projected release date for a snorkel-deep pow version of Snowflex?

  • it is made of dreams...

  • swwweeeeeeeeeet man!!!

  • What the hell!? Thats friggen shweeeeeet!

  • like that!

  • menuda cacafuti
