this game would not of counted for much.. i think dynamo shoulda have played more of their bench, ianni, ashe, cameron, wondoloski, holden, etc.. and let some of the starting 11 rest for a major playoff run. but hey who am i to critic the best coach in mls d.kinnear.

That was a penalty, but no way a red card. He was going for the ball. That is usually a yellow card, even when the goalie makes a lot of contact. As long as you are going for the ball it shouldn't be a red. I might not have even given a yellow because the keeper did nothing but fall down, he didn't even leave a hand or a foot out. And he was in the box. The reason reds are shown now on breakaway fouls is to prevent intentional fouling outside the box. The ref really blew this one.

he didn't dive, just lost his balance as he jumped over the keeper, you seem him trying to stay up and keep going afterwards, that was just an absolutely horrible call

I dont think it was a red. the guy jumped be fore the GK touched him. but maybe thats why it was a foul. If the keep hadn't come out like that and moved like that the guy wouldnt have had to jump he wouldnt have missed and it would have been a goal(most likely). then again, the keeper didnt touch him at all and so the question is, did he dive, or was he just looking to jump over the keeper. I think he was jumping over the keeper and the keeper is innocent as well, he was just going for the ball.

I think that's a shitty way to potentially decide a game, but the PK looked like an intentional, legit foul to me.
