  • Betty Tezera is my favourite Gospel Artist. Apart from being a good singer, and looker, she's pretty innovative with her music styles. I'll be posting some of these on buzz after this one.

  • Love it!!!

  • good music

  • Who are you to tell them that they were "in chelema" In the name of Christianity untold number of crimes have been committed. It is not people such as these who are in chelema... It is you

  • Don't you know you're in darkness without Jesus? If one commits crime in the name of Christianity that means he's never been a Christian or He failed and needs to repent.

  • @yekolotemari hey instead of a negative attitude why don't you just hear what she sings. there is difference b/n Chelemachin bera and Chelemachihu bera. Chelemachin bera she said and it is Biblical. Satanebu aguagul techi bathonu?

    God Bless.

  • @undermysaviour

u must be kidding me! Just coz she spoke in first person, you think that she is not referring to the people there? My initial opinion has not changed.

  • @yekolotemari ''Be chelema yehede hizb berhan aye'' is in the Bible word by word. Besides if it wasn't for Jesus we were all in darkeness. Don't you read your Bible? What is the difference b/n Betty and the Hamer or us weren't we all in darkness?

  • @EyesusGeta

It is disingenuous to show the Hamers and to say that the song is in reference to all of us. The intention of showing these people who live in remote places is well understood. If it was not the intention, I am sure one does not need to travel to the banks of Omo to produce such video/song. It feels like something straight out of the colonial times; European missionaries coming to Africa to save us... Plz!

  • @yekolotemari loooool that's only in your head. To those of us we know how Jesus redeemed us. so we don't think that way.

    God Bless.

  • Isaiah 9:2-3

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death [a] a light has dawned.

You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder.

  • This is great I like nearly all of Betty's Gospel songs. I'd love to know what this one's about.

  • The south people don't know anything about god, they have no light, the don't even have candle, they travel in the dark, yet god take care of them no matter what and christianity just start heading to the south OMO and the people start believing...Betty was one of the first people to go out there to spread the gospel.

  • Well God bless Gospel singers like Betty. Ethiopia and Eritrea are blessed with many Gospel Singers (Mezmur)

  • Betty God Bless You for endless creativity and your eagerness to use it. We've become so modernized these days it is a blessing to see something like this. What wonderful words!!!

  • May God bless you Betty. This is great job you have done. Keep it up.

  • At first I thought it was a joke... pretty unexpected and quite creative! Betty is very practical - the purpose of her songs is only for facilitating worshiping - and they could be based on Hamer rhythem!!!

  • So creative!!! Loved the work.. God bless you

  • God bless you bettyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • simply great.. God Bless you.

  • Betty this is big job techin no one now abiout bibile God bless u sister

  • the composer is really talented as well as the singer.... this is a terrific job as in u r style is like no others which makes it easier for the new generation like us to understand the true meaning of life and that's to believing in Christ...ewnetem esgiaber barkoshal

  • I love wildness,I love it thanks!

  • So, Pente ppl was explanding their dynasty to Omo zone? ehe Interesting!

  • waw!!!! this is really amazing gift of God,

God is using you to reach his people with his words. thank you sister GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS.let every christian walk up and spread the word of God to the world, it's our duty! so let's do it from now In Jesus Almighty Name!!!! amen

  • May God richly bless you Bettye!!! This is such a creative and beautiful way of sharing the love of God with the people of Hamer in their own language and embracing their way of Praising God.

  • Comment removed

  • There are using 2 languages. a combination of amharic and Omo local language

  • @makdameron1 hah......praising god? what a typical pentay trash

  • @HandsomeMrEthiopia

Do not be rude to people.

  • wut u say doesnt make sense! put ur comment some where else

  • @makdameron1

I agree with you totally. Betty and her team are doing an amazing work.

This is the best way to touch the soul and bring it to the Kingdom of God.

Very nice song and very creative. Excellent job.

  • btw, write normal english because you write like some king of gangsterand it is hard to understand. no offence.

  • you should be happy that they are like this. before christianity came to their villages, they had no clothes on top but had little clothes under their waist. its better like this.

  • That's very ignorant, and not true at all! I suppose what you mean what is that before the westerners came and colonized?! Well, they never colonized Ethiopia. Ethiopia was Christian a thousand years before Europe.

  • Make no sense. We were born Naked! They arn't even naked. What's wrong w/ showing you thighs???I mean it's there religion. God dosn't mind. As long as your prasing him! This is a nice praise I think! But o.k next time I'll be sure to ggo to church in a space suit so nothing on my body can show....so I won't "disrespect" God and be labled as evil for younger kids.

    p.e.a.c.e

  • @ charonn89, you think you're so slick, don't you? What a tool!

  • pls let them excercise their own belief. Do not impose your religion on them

  • They think she is singing their song so they are enjoing themselves. She is singing for them:))

  • sounds quite innovative!
