Have you seen some of his other live performances from Idol? He did not really step up from this audition. His audition was his best performance on Idol that's why I think he got voted off.

@Mrdreamera No Wayyyy his version of Under the Milky way and Under pressure were amazing... Its because the majority of Australians do not study music and have this idea of musicians which is portrayed by the larger labels and media.

I've saw these performances and his voice broke a couple of times during both of them. It was good, but it wasn't as great as his first audition imo.

I don't think you need to study music to know what 'musicians' are about. It all comes down to personal taste and genre of music a person listens to.

I swear this guy sounds exactly like some other famous singer i know. Could be the coldplay singer, i can't remember. But not many people have this kind of voice, and it's fucking legendary. He's got one of those folky, alternative voices. Him and Wes Carr are the only musicians to come out of Idol that aren't cardboard cut-out pop stars.

Idol has definitely gone down hill. I mean the winner and the top 5 will maybe get some sort of offer music or acting wise. But the first few series everyone knows where all, the top at least 10, are and what they are doing with there music.

The best thing Bobby ever did was go on that dam show, because Australia now knows his talent exists and we can share in that. Kyle Sandilands shows up greatly, not only his own stupid flaws but how flawed the shows concept is. With the question of "What are you going to do when it's Boogie fever week"? A talent such as Boby {and others} should be able to come out and perform as they see fit, no artist does the whole gammit of musical styles as a career path. The producers need to fix this.

The stigma on Idol is very unfair to say the least because some of the talent to come out of that show has been amazing. There is so little scope for exposure for artists starting out - what's the difference in going on Idol and singing in a pub to a yobbo crowd night after night.
