Wow I am glad to have stumbled upon this video. I honestly did believe that India was simply a land of cheesy Bollywood pop music. I had no idea it explored grunge and hard rock as well.
Colourblind was formed in 1998 by a young Ram Sampat (now an acclaimed jingle and film composer) and Siddharth Achrekar. Unfortunately, the band came to an untimely end due to Achrekar developing an acute hearing problem. Colourblind may not have lasted too long but this song will go down as one of Indian rock’s most meteoric classics.
Anand thanks so much for putting this song I loved it when i heard it back in 90's and was searching for this band since then. Do you have more songs of this album?
it really feels honored and proud to have been associated with Ram Sir..its true that this band was ahead of our time..i still sit here and head bang to COLOURBLIND and Lamb of God at the same time..so just think about it....Ram Sir..kudos...killer!
I freaking love this band!! So true man, they were waaay ahead of their time. Their songs have never bored me, they're still refreshing and kicking everytime I listen to them.
i had bought the album. it was awesome! sadly, i don't have it now. u know how it is with cassette tapes. moisture n stuff. these guys were so good. if only they were american...
happy to see so many fans alive!!!!! DUDE!! as someone pointed.......they were out of place and time when they came out with this one.......by any damn standards they were just AMAZING!!!! so were MILLENNIUM!!!!from Banglore if you guys have heard tht one these are two saddest rock stories of India
i havent lived in india for like 5 years was thinking hows the rock scene nowadays man....are they still guys who live for music specially rock music........hope the the new generation can live upto it...
were they were learning some african music in africa. thats what genuises are ....they punch you with something kickass and then disappear in there own world.....who know they have something for us in 2008....that will be immortalised...
i got this album way back in 1998 when i was in high school in gangtok. since then i have lived in OZ and NZ and seen lots of big acts ....and our guys Ram and Shayam had some gut in them. they were basically ahead of there times....genuises...last i heard about them in 2003
This album was a monster when it came out. I still have the original tape, sadly it sounds like hindustani classical after the abuse it has gone through. Re-winding and fast-forwarding.
I'm not sure if you get their music in stores today...but this album is awesome...each song is fuckin incredible...I made sure all my friends in Bangalore bought this album and not copied it (yes we used to listen to it the old fashioned way)...lol...But I havent seen these guys play live...Hey Ram...if ure reading this...You rock!

They should re-release this album on CD. Take advantage of the Delhi Belly interest.
