They're on a fucking basketball court, this is so fucking stupid. She's just awkwardly whacking that pole with her sword. There's no skill there, at all. I swear to god, anyone with half a brain could cut that stuff just as easily. I know, because I've done it before.
@normalpsychology let me see if i get u straigth, ure saiing the girl is not good at her swordsmanship, and that even u can do that, well. i really think the girl is a really good martial artist. alson she strikes so hard because she has to generate with her 11 years old body the same strength an adult does. and look at the cuts, not everione make a clean cut, and more with a small sword who doesnt gain enough momentun in the kisaki. i think its pretty impresive.
@normalpsychology yes they are on a basketball court. This isnt feudal Japan dumbshit, thats where most tournaments are held IN A GYM. And you have no fucking idea what you are talking about. Iado isnt just hacking away you failed to notice the angle and precision of her cuts. Seriously dude you must be the biggest douchebag on the planet to troll and hate on an 8 year old and then claim you know more than her. I bet youd slice off your face just unsheathing the sword.
@CobraVerde601 Dear stupidest fucking moron I've ever met in my life. It's spelled "iaido." You have proven to be, as I said, the stupidest fuck on Earth. Goodbye, forever, moron teenager.
i come from cali .comton and vallejo id travels alot up and down the california cost.dont everone is afriad of guns and most ppl cant even shoot.a knife or sword mayb do something but wen u close up no weapon is faster then feet and hands technic.so what ur sayin is your a punk jericho and you cant asap a gud ass beatin cau se of your cowardness so you would muder someone.over your pride. i was rite vampires do exist
that was good ...my lil five yr girls im teacher her submissions and throws and a view ither small things ..i think its good to start early. it teaches a lot of control for the future
I think you can see her seriousness conveyed in the way she stands and cuts. Of course I would be fearful to let my children start so young. Cut on the thumb or web of had Is fairly common no. I learnt the hard way. Some nerve damage. Learning curve different for everyone.. Sorry to hear about the loss in the school comp. I'm sure you will do better next time.
@DlSappeared Yes, and they were extensively used. However, the likelihood of finding one in America with authentic craftsmanship (which makes the sword so great) is pretty low. The stuff you see being sold at Asian restaurants is sub-par at BEST. Anyways, yeah. A single slice is enough to lop off a head.
@SisterSkift uhmmm actually it's quite easy to find them in america if you know where to look I actually recently purchased a shinken myself that I use for tameshigiri and its actually a really nice price. only problem is it isnt a japanese made blade but still good. only difference is its not way over priced because its made in japan
@SisterSkift I never once said cheap nor did I ever implied the fact, I did imply that its more affordable since chinese and american blades that range from $300 - $1,000 that can be used for Iaido tameshigiri compared to japanese made blade costing around $10,000+ that may or may not be able to cut anything
It depends of the school. Some schools tend to practise with a live blade from the first time. The idea is to avoid creating bad habits, and have a good concentration from the first time. There are many ideas, but practising with honmi is quite common in Japan. Also, Japan has a sword-culture. In the US or Europe, we don't have that culture, so if accidents happen, it's a much bigger problem (insurance, law, ...). In that sense, I believe it's a good idea not to use honmi as a beginner.
@GovernorOfCarpTown actually your quite wrong Iaido students dont start using shinken (live blade/katana) until they are a much higher rank, different schools seem to have different ranking methods so it hard for me to say on what rank it is but usually anywhere between 8-12months training on average before being allowed to use a shinken before then they train using Iaito's which are pretty much similar but made with a different metal with no sharp edge. also shinken is only used for tameshigiri
@Dongtacularity there is really no worry about that. Actually cutting stuff with a japanese sword comes quite far into the training. You get to learn how to really handle the sword properly long before this takes place
@WarbossGorgutz remember Katana has the hidden power inside, if the sword is in the hands of these who are evil in heart it will be weapon of killing. Are you saying she might be a killer one day? what your heart tells you?
