it squares around so that the blunt side of the katana hits the enemy without causing damage. anything it touches in that state doubles in weight each hit. he can always revert to sealed form and finish them off afterwards.
@MiddleFingerSaysHi your right about the bit not causing damage but because the enemy ends up kneeling forward with their head out he simply puts the blade under their neck in the curved part of the sword and pulls straight up thus beheading them
@CitizenKaneToad Yeah, he did that when he fought Avirama. Techincally, that attack can only be done in that very sitauation. I wouldn't want to try that during actual combat.
