Her voice in live performances is usually overwhelmed by the music. "The Shapes We Make" is a wonderful collection of songs with dreamy lyrics and memorable arrangements. She's a poetess.
When I walked in early to the club she was playing I saw her sleeping on top of a card table she was using as her merchandise booth. You can't help but like someone who puts up with those kind of discomforts to play music.
Mary Timony? I've been trying to find a songstress with whom to compare her. I can't come up with one. From the poetical aspect she's a welcomed change. Her songs are a challenge. "Sharpshooter" is her homage to Top 40 radio. I think she's quite the scholar. She's more Lennon or Harrison than McCartney.
thx for uploading ! i wish i was there. like the drumstile.

that's a really cool version of rider on the stormy sea, i love the after-chorus guitar part, so otherworldly.
