this is realy good as soon as i heard this i got my ds out straight away haha nice shunna wish i could get my drums sounding like that tho that shit is whack kno wat i mean.
I've started to modify the drums and it sounds way better ;) I wish I could get closer to a 808 bass kick, but the synthesis of the ds-10 seems to generate a kind of high end hum (kind of bad resonance stuff just after the note) when I go deep down in low frequencies...might be because of the limitated sound capabilities of the ds, I already heard this kind of defect with nitrotracker.
i was trying to get rid of the shitty default drum sounds and make my own kind of 808 set on my DS 10 when I ran through your video. can you explain how to get that fat bass drum kick? cheers
What you want to do is turn the knobs on the cutoff, drive, eq to the left side and experiment with that. Also make sure the vco knobs point to the lower left side of the four prong knob, this will give you a muffled sound like a drum kick.
i got the original 808

this is really good. it's like you're splitting the difference between the circuit bent/LSDJ thing and straight up hip-hop.
