  • I'll be trying this soon. :)

  • love your videos! thanks for them! i didn't grow up with a mom who taught me much about cooking, etc.

  • love it... thanks much,i made them.

  • They look like Scones!

  • GIRL!!!!!! I used this method the other day for chicken and dumplins. My family loves it. I made enough to put some up in the freezer too and they just heat it up as needed. Thank you so much.

  • do you freeze the before you bake them for after?

  • you go girl loved the video.1 and 2

  • ok, last night made the mix in your previous vid...this morning made the biscuits...oh my gosh!!! these are the best biscuits i have ever made! so delicious, so simple, so timesaving, and so very inexpensive. thanks so much!!!

  • Get the butter!

  • Just watched a Sandra Lee how to and she recommends not twisting the biscuit cutter in the dough, she says the dough won't rise during baking. Thanks for the vid!

  • I gave up on round bisquits lol, I just cut mine in squares now, so I dont' have to mess with the left over bits from cutting them out, one cutting pass, and the reformed ball's bisquits that are always a little tougher are eleminated.Plus its just quicker, slice slice, turn slice slice done =)

  • Thanks! =)

  • so whats a good thickness to roll the dough out to

  • i love your videos ..it is nice to see such a helpful wife ...i hope the lord blesses you and your family

  • can u use this dough to make PIZZAAAAA!?!?!?!?!

  • We've watched a number of your videos in the last few days & we absolutely love them. They're so REAL....an older model stove & a well-used cookie sheet. The way most of us really live, not like a surreal Martha Strewart fantasy land. Thank you for taking the time to share all this with us.Btw the biscuits look yummie...can almost smell them.

  • Also, a great way to use the outer trimmings is to make pasta. Just throw the trimmings into boiling water. You can also fry it in hot oil and sprinkle with powder sugar, kind of like funnel cake.

  • Good instructional vid folks..

  • Great video! When I make biscuits, I shape the dough into a rectangle or squarish shape, then I use a knife or pizza cutter to cut my biscuits, they come out square, but there is no waste dough left over to re-roll into another batch (from using a round cutter), the re-rolled ones tend to come out tougher because they were worked twice.

I love cooking from scratch! Thanks for posting this video. :)

    Wretha

  • very tasty looking biscuits

  • 10 min heck I would have my grands in the oven for 10 and waiting on 2 more min.Another good recepie is browned turkey ground meat layer of sliced cheese topped with buscuts fills up the hungriest kid on the planet.

  • @cdltpx when you freeze them you have a biscut that can be ready in 1 min microwave not a bad idea a friend recommended freezing extra pancakes too when you think about it pancakes are so easy to make. If they are cooked and frozen you could have pancakes and your favorite egg fixins every other morning biscuts and have to cook them only once a week.

  • now the sausage and grave.

  • glad to see I am not the ONLY person out here making biscuits from scratch! Nothing is better, and good with any meal too!

  • @tootnbarb Oh yes that's one of our fav. meals, chicken and biscuits! I'd love to see your biscuit vid to. Everyone does things a little differently. :-)

  • The smiley face in flour was cute.

  • Well, what else is on the menu tonight? ( or last night?) I make home made biscuits with sausage gravy, usually the ground Italian sausage. Or sometimes it's beef, aka SOS. My wife will use plain gravy if it is available.

  • Nice biscuts need some butter and jam yum yum!!

  • I want some biscuits those look moist and fluffy

  • Those look awsomely delicious, i can almost smell them.

  • that was awesome looks so good!! yum... with a little butter and honey oh my.. or some fresh strawberries and cream.. omg LOL

  • Ok it is spelled both biscutes and biscuits. Learned something today. Thanks for sharing this is most helpful to know this money saving method of making Bisquick. I normally have used it in cobblers :)

  • That is sooo cute Mr. H :) Good job Mrs. H! I love biscuits mmmmm so you rolled you dough to approx 1/2" thick before you cut them out?

  • @mamahenof6 Oops forgot to say that. Yes about 1/2" :-)

  • Mmm... they look perfect!!!

  • I don't why I tortured myself watching this. My wife is gluten intolerant so we don't even have wheat flour in our house. I only get biscuits when we visit my family around the holidays. :-( Looks good though.

  • @EquilibriumTheory Oh, I have a good gluten free biscuit recipe :-) We had to go gluten free at one point as well. Would you like the recipe?

  • @HomesteadAcres

    Yes, that would be great.
