  • alot of those tackles were legal only 2 or 3 were high

  • do rugby players watch american football and laugh?

so many pads and such short plays

i'm american and this puts our football league to shame

  • was this filmed with a rugby?

  • didnt see one dirty hit in that whole video

  • that was the best three pixles ive ever seen.

  • All of these seem perfectly fine to me.

  • Which pixle hit who?

  • jesus fuck all this without pads and helmets

  • "Here comes the guy, he gonna gotted: SPEAR!!!!!!!!!!

  • was this filmed with a dildo?

  • good video. great song too. bodyjar ftw.

  • good quality....NOT

  • This is not a drill, gentlemen, this is what we train for.

  • this is what i call sport.

  • wow cool video dude!!!

  • ...half of this is rugby league, making most of this legal

  • they're not dirty shots. they're really good

  • @k9DaAV yea thats probably cause you play football. in rugby you have to wrap up and go down with the ballcarrier unlinke football

  • @bigbaconburger17 oh yeah true in rugby union you cant just shoulder. Yeah fair enough i get ya :p

  • Edge would be proud of some of those spears !!! :)

  • @badboyromeo1 yeah ^^

  • None of these r dirty fuk u pussy

  • how r these dirty??

  • @deathwish4eva some of them are clean but most of them involve high tackles, no wrap in the tackle or lifting and spearing the ball carrier into the ground which are all considered dangerous tackles in rugby

  • @deathwish4eva the dirty refers to the state of the ball carrier's pants

  • @deathwish4eva How can you even tell the quality is so bad? lol

  • @deathwish4eva because some are as illegal as my shit

  • @deathwish4eva most of em aint

  • but its only illegal in rugby if the defence shoulder charges and doesnt wrap!

  • This video is great!! there are a few illegal hits because they didnt wrap, but other than that they are great hard hits, and im an american that played football my whole life and have been playing college rugby for several years now as a flanker then prop, and i say both sports are badass, the only difference is you get to do more stuff in rugby since everyone can run and catch, but both sports demand respect and those that say otherwise havent gotten layed out in either sport im sure

  • @saltlife85 ..."didn't wrap" ? - there's no such rule in NRL (which these vids are from) - the vast majority of these tackles are legal and shoulder charging is perfectly legal.

  • @lithgowstorm Right on. Why that is not allowed in Union is a mystery. The IRB bang on about safety, but how many players die in League??

  • LOL @ RUGBY DIRTY HITS!!!! HAHAHAHAHA THIS WAS AN OUTRO TO THE SUNDAY ROAST LIKE 5 YEARS AGO! NICE ONE @gionova LOOOOOOOLLLLLLL

  • DAMN!!!!

  • I've never made a comment on the differences between American Football and Rugby... if you ask me, they're both tough as hell games to play and none of you morons comparing their 'toughness' have the slightest clue. What it boils down to is respect for each game. I'll promise you, too, that if you were to show professional athletes from both sports video of each others games, you'd get nothing but respectful comments from both sides. It's what true sportsmen do.

  • @coachgrieber Well said.

  • Nothing dirty about it! Solomon Haumono features quite a bit

  • This makes me want ot grow up to be a brick wall.

  • The first hit wasn't really dirty. That person teammate doesn't know how to through a damn ball and to catch that thing he had to jump for it. *HOSPITAL PASS*

  • insane

  • i have played both Rugby League, Union and American Football and all i can say is rugby is much tougher and a lot better to play, American Football is just awful! padded up to the high heavens and feel no pain! why would you honestly want that?!

  • @RyanMcEntee16 bullshit dude you havent played american football if you had then were the guy that was standing in the back doing shit please

  • @RyanMcEntee16 cuz no one wantz broken bonez cuz not errbody can afford 2 go 2 tha hospital

  • @RyanMcEntee16 yeh im the same, ive played all three, rugby union is my favorite and football is just nothing compared to rugby, its just stupid with pads and its too slow, and yeh to the haters i didnt play on the back in football i played running back and line backer

  • @RyanMcEntee16 Didn't start that way.. blame the sissy liberals in America for all that BS.

  • @RyanMcEntee16 You never played american football if you felt no pain. I also play rugby and played american football and the hits are much harder in football, thus the need for padding.

  • @6jhamm9 the reason the hits are harder in football is because you wear padding, not the other way around... if you hit like a football player in rugby that's how you hurt yourself.

  • @imsigningin That''s not really true. You wear padding because play in football is done at a much quicker and stronger level because of all the rest you get. Every play people are pretty much fully rested and ready to go at each other with all their will. While the padding may help your mentatily, i.e. you feel like you can't be hurt, it is necessary.

Additionally, tackles in football are often collision based. You can leave your feet to tackle and u dont have to wrap. Thus more impact.

  • @6jhamm9 yes you can do all of the BECAUSE you have the pads on, its a simple concept really...just think about it. And the amount of rest in each sport is completely irrelevant to what padding you need. That's like saying lacrosse players wear less padding than hockey players because they have less rest...lolwut?

  • Isn't it cool when one of the pixels hit another one? Get better film...

  • Why is it that EVERYTIME i come to a Rugby video i see comments about American Football, yet when I go to a video about American Football not a single comment is made on rugby. Wonder why that is? They dont give a shit! And neither should you. You like your sports, we like ours. Why the comparison when the other side couldnt give two shits about your opinion from 4,000 miles away?

  • well spoken, however i believe people talk bout american football on rugby vids because the americans believe they have the toughest sport, so they dont give a shit. however rugby countries all know this is bullshit. people are just trying to prove this.

  • @xander05as this is one comparison that will never end lol.

  • in football you get it, in rugby you get hit more. in football you have pads, a helmet and other a equipment, in rugby you might have a mouth guard and a whole lotta willpower.. whoever says football's tougher, should give their head a shake and play a match of rugby.

  • @TheSkiesScarlett they're two completely different games, there is no point dissing American Football, when you yourself most likely never played the sport, if ya want to diss a sport, diss Football (thats soccer to ye yanks), an utter waste of a game

  • Ok why is everyone arguing about whether rugby or American football is better? They are two different sports. You can't compare them to each other. In football you get hit less frequently but usually with more frequent pain and in rugby you get hit a lot. In football you get hurt, and in rugby you get hurt. Leave it at that. Please

  • Anyone else think of Tony Hawks when they watched this video?

  • the forces involved in these tackles must be immense, having the strength to stop around 20 stone of pure muscle racing towards you in its tracks and put them on their arse, much respect indeed

  • @bigyin109

around 20 stone? this is rugby league, most of the players you saw getting hit will have been between 14 and 16stone. No league players weigh much more than 18 stone anyway because the nature of the game means everyone is constantly on their feet with little rest time

  • @bigyin109 25 stone

  • im american and even i kno tht rugby is tougher than good ol american football

  • whats the song?

  • wait did you record this with a potatoe

  • I enjoyed those pixels slamming into each other

  • the song is "Not the same" by Bodyjar

  • cmon man none of these hits are dirty.

  • It was mandated that all rugby games be filmed with a calculator, as shown in these clips.

  • Shit music and video quality.

  • @gazereths1982 great music, doesnt suit the video though

  • It's not drity at all!! this is what we call 'rugby'

  • if u wear american football u might as well use tampons

  • American Football ACTUALLY makes sense. Atleast out Sport is SAFE.

  • @osumruss uh well theres more brain injuries and consussions in football than in rugby

so all your "safety" equipment is for shit

  • @osumruss

how is it safe, you lead with the head in a tackle?

there are ACTUALLY more concussions and injuries in NFL

    SAFE? maybe not

  • as a union fan and player i love watching league because it's so free flowing and some of the hits are just unreal

  • most of these hits are illegal. You need to wrap someone up, throwing your body like that was a penalty where I played.

  • @scaduttm You played rugby Union. This is league. You don't need to wrap the man,

  • league suk balls go UNION

  • @squillymanser In league we don't rape each others arses in a ruck. And league has bigger hits than union, coz u's are pussies.

  • what song is this?

  • Football is way more strategical then rugby. It's more complex, but because of this it is bounded by too many rules that stall the game. I personally think rugby is more fun to play because the game has more flow. Rugby players have to be more well rounded athletes in my opinion. Not more athletic necessarily, but you can't just be good at one certain thing to be considered a good player. Not hating on football, I love football especially when my Chiefs play, but I enjoy playing rugby much more

  • I think this video was just made by the commentators. Makes you proud to be British!

  • some of these aren't dirty there fantastic hits ?

  • union is better

  • notice how some of tackles which took place in the vid, cant be used anymore ? rugby just isnt the same now.

  • @djmurgo thats only in union, league its still allowed

  • woow im american and i thought football is awesome i kinda like rugby lol

  • these aren't "dirty" hits. They'er all legal.

And besides, someone already posted this video before, so why do you need to repost it again as your own:?

  • what ever you play, theres some great hit/tackles here and some dirty ones, straight arms/clothes line, nice video though

  • rugby league FTW!

  • dirty hits? whatever most of those hits were legal. also over half of them are rugby league hits which has different rules for tackling.

  • Pads are for pussies.

    Nothing dirty about those hits.

    Go New London County Rugby!

  • what song is that

  • Awesome defence. A lot of the hits came from Manly of the '90s; Roberts, Gillespie, 'Spud' Carroll, Bella & Menzies.

  • Shit vid, you stole it from someone else champ, but nice try dopey

  • if you take away the shoulder most of the tackles wood be crap

  • @duxberry1958

    no shit sherlock

  • @duxberry1958 that's like saying 'if they missed the tackles, the tackles would be crap'

  • the first tackle is perfectly legal

  • 90% of ppl would be hospitalised by these haha

  • NFL harder then rugby league? hahaha thats a nice joke.

  • @MrPhoenix003 its cause there isnt fuckin pads DS

  • @MrPopTurds Nice observation wiseguy

  • reppin MANLY

  • Rugby seems more dangerous, but you get much worse injuries in football because the pads and especially the helmet do two things:

    a. create a false sense of protection, increasing the speed of collision

    b. the helmet has turned into a weapon, hence the increasing number of concussions

And of course, generally NFLers are much bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic than Ruby players.

  • @Tothe2012 thast is one bullshit statement

  • Whats the name of the song in the backround

  • .......i love the way this videos quality has become shitter and shitter with each bozo ripping it and placing a different title on it.....

90% of these are perfectly legal and not 'rugbys dirty hits'

  • brother some yanks actually do play rugby... football is just so popular in The States that they just say stuff, without actually knowing what rugby is. I live in a state called Georgia in USA , and our high school team has the most southern black people the whole division and a couple mexicans . but some people just talk because they can.

  • WTF? These tackles would be illegal if it was Rugby and not League. Maybe someone should tell the guy who uploaded the video he doesnt know the difference between League and Union?

  • how is rhis fuking dirty it fucking awesom skills wtf chance the name of the video to fucking aweosome rugby hits a beutty this make me love rugby even more

  • some are legal

  • haha 1:15 that little scrummy gets raped. great music on this vid.

  • ye i no

  • no dirty tackles here. just good hard hits

  • I Can't believe the yanks still say that American football is a tougher sport than Rugby, this is muscle on muscle bone on bone, put your pads on pussey's.

  • @lfcjudo to put it frankly, pad on pad is actually just as bad as bone on bone. im not debating that rugby is the tougher sport casue it is. but making a football tackle while wearing pads can hurt more then a rugby tackle with out em.

  • @lfcjudo YAH BUT HOW MANY OF YOU RUGBY PLAYERS SUFFER FROM MEMORY LOSS AND DEMENTIA?! Wana answer me that? also it is hard running in all that gear, plus theres a lot of strategies with football, thousands of different plays.

  • @scottiedo2219 with a load of burger breaks inbetween each play?

  • @blackhandofset no because they run four plays back to back, no time to eat cheese burgers, maybe when possession switches sure there is time.

  • @scottiedo2219 in normal sports, you have two halves. so in rugby, thats 40 minutes of continuous play followed by another.

  • @scottiedo2219. Your players go mad... and that's an argument in favor of your sport HOW, exactly?

  • @Wembley71 well who says i was arguing? and all Im saying is sure your tough, but not very bright.

  • @scottiedo2219 I thought you were suggesting NFL players must be tough because they suffer dementia and memory loss? It strikes me that choosing to play such a sport is not particularly smart. But if you're actually suggesting rugby league players suffer such ailments, you're just plain wrong.

  • @scottiedo2219 I must say scottiedo, it's hard to actually make out what you mean as your command of English is fairly limited. I did you the courtesy of adopting American spellings for 'favour'... please, at least try to make your arguments cogent and coherent before you simply start insulting our intelligence. NFL is, indeed, a fine, complex sport. So is rugby league. If you think otherwise, you just don't understand it.

  • @Wembley71 so how smart are the players that took those hits or delivered those hits?

  • @Wembley71 smart enough to make a handsome living doing the thing they most love. Same as Sports professionals everywhere. No real offence intended, and I've been over-the-top with the sarcasm.... rugby league and NFL share many traits... more, in some respects, than rugby league and rugby union. Genuine question - do you know the difference in the 2 rugby codes?

  • @scottiedo2219 quite a few mate also alot of brocken necks so get ya facts right i also dont beleive nfl is for fags ether so it not a hate comment ether

  • @lfcjudo

it would be wonderful to see you get hit by ray lewis with no pad on, pussy. lmao.

  • @Sighyouredumb I would much rather take a hit from Ray Lewis than take one frome Brian ' the chiropractor ' Lima. The pussy comment came from alot of Americans being ignorant about the sport. But i maintain, having played both sports you feel nowhere near the same impact with pads on when you take a hit.

  • @Sighyouredumb nah you're just sad.. go play with your pads, girl.

  • @lfcjudo american football is not tougher. but just cuz you have pads on doesnt make it a pussy sport.. the hits are way different and bigger hits happen more often, only because of the way plays are run.. watch this hit.

  • @lfcjudo If a team of NFL players played w/out pads against some rugby guys they'd fuck em up. They're just a lot bigger, faster and stronger. But Rugby is a tougher sport.

  • @lfcjudo although I don't approve of the "name" as an american rugger I respect your view on rugby in that it is by far a tougher sport than american football

  • @lfcjudo watch sport sience. the american football tackles was 2.5 times harder than the rigby ones. just sayin

  • @lfcjudo The pads are due to being able to tackle players whilst they're in air, plus more slack rules in general

  • @lfcjudo american football hits harder, but not as often as frequent as rugby, you may see 1 big tackle in the hour it takes to play 15 mins of american football, but it can be nonstop in rugby

  • @lfcjudo hey man i play rugby in the US and the NFL has nothing on the sport! trust me if i could i would create a rugby league here.

  • @lfcjudo who says all americans do. I play every day for a division 2 college. Its really on the rise here. and by the way american football players get hit so hard that a lot of them kill themselves before they turn 60 so.... ya

  • wtf theres only like 2 dirty tackles in here lol

  • ok lil correction 0:23 was illegal he went in shoulder/ elbow only to the runners face so A it would be a high tackle B its not even classed as a tackle and C its illegal

just saying tho and there are alot of high tackles in the vid so still most are legal from what i know :/ happily correct me if im wrong tho :)

  • nothing dirty about these tackles this is rugby!

  • how is this dirty this is legal and takes skill to line up someone perfectly and then drop em like a sack of sh1t. fuk i love league

  • @rols92 most of these tackles are high as fuck haha

  • @rols92 its a dangerous tackle, not legal. if you do it a couple times you'll get a yellow.

  • @scangaa no you won't, do you watch Rugby League? or just make silly posts about it on youtube. Those tackles were legal. Whats the ref gonna say? "10 minutes in the bin for that awesome legal tackle"

  • compared to this american football it's little girls game

  • @amalavasi ; do you play either ? surely not aye , you faqq .. stop comparinq sports man , they're all unique in their own way . and yes you have your own choice of sport so if you like American Football , stick to it and leave leaque alone , its a qreat sport !

  • you're right "they're all unique in their own way", american football is for little girls, that's unique... ;)

  • this is why rugby league is truley the greatest game on earth

  • This Is why I hate rugby.

  • puuuussssyyyy

  • Because your a pussy?

  • most of these are pefectly legal takles, which im glad i wasnt the one being takled

  • @JaffaThatCake

    they all are

  • these are all clean legal hits not dirty at all

  • the fun thing about rugby is when you give a big hit. you feel like ure unstoppable

  • Not when you take them x_x

I dont know much about rugby, but what counts as a "dirty hit"..or are all these hits legal and they're just mad awsome haha

  • init it feels like ur a hero

  • oops I meant below. They can hit anywere as long as it below the shoulders

  • Ireland is awsome. There my home team. U fucking kiwees can fuck off. Ireland is one of the best teams in the world

  • Fk off Ireland are Pussies if u want Hits u go to New Zealand and Australia

  • Ireland are one of the best teams in the world, and probly the toughest.

  • Comment removed

  • no, tackles have to be bad below the shoulders

  • Hey, this isn't proper rugby. This is league!

  • BOOM

  • bodyjar - your not the same ;)

  • song name?!?!

  • Without football protections. This is true masculine sport.

  • niggers are dirtier than this.
