  • What a frickken rare and beautiful survivor. Handling doesn't have much sway and they stop great; straight and under control. That 340x6 has about 60 more horsepower than advertised, about 345HP instead of the claimed 290HP?? Never owed one but had access to one now and then. Not a huge drag racer although as much as a super handler. Great acceleration on the fly.

  • i agree to an extent with rednose. i'm a AAR Cuda guy but anyone who'd pay over 25k for a completely restored one of these today is an idiot. i remember buying one for 5,200 in '70 that had dealer miles on it and kept it until '73. i sold it for 1,800 with 20,000 miles. i wore the thing out too. mine was black so you couldn't see the stripe very well and it had alligator vinyl on the top with a 4 speed. it was nice and tached up fast but not all that great in handling like the brochure said

  • I had the chance to buy a purple one of these in complete but not running condition in 1983 when I was 15. I had the money, but needed my parents to sign off on it. The guy was asking 2200.00 Canadian for it, and said that the carb just needed to be rebuilt and it was otherwise in better than fair condition (on small dent in the front of the hood)

My stepfather ran the numbers and we couldn't find any info on it(because it was too rare) so he wouldn't let me buy it.

    It still hurts!

  • A 1970 Cuda in any configuration (AAR, 440, Hemi, etc...) consistently finds itself at the top of the collector car charts. On a side note, they don't produce the Cuda in a "kit car" option like you find 80%+ of the Cobra's on the road today. Everytime a "Cobra" goes by, you have to question its originality...

Wether it be a group of hard core Mopar fans or a retirement home knitting club, pound for pound, the CUDA demands and collects the respect of many...

  • My dad had one. =[ Wish he hadn't sold it!
