I bought a "Region Free" DVD player and bought the PAL UK version recently.

It's complete...with a lot of animation and a little hyper-sexiness and violence back in what would get a PG or PG-13 rating today.

Your first sentence says the original British print was censored...but I know what you mean.

The Uncut British version had to be cut for U.S. distribution so it would be considered "Good Family Fun"!

So, a LOT of animation was cut to reduce the scariness of the dinosaurs...!

I had the Uncut Laser Disc but when it came-out on DVD ...we were back to the Chopped Version...!!

This is scene was very heavily edited in the original Brittish print of the film. Raquel and co. go into the water as the pteranadon fishes for them in the water cut simultaneously with the men and women running back and forth on beach throwing spears at the thing in the air. Region 2 dvd original cut is far more superior than American film cut release.
