  • Panorama Scheibenwischer FTW!

  • W124 is the best Mercedes-Benz ever made! I love W124!!!

  • best merc ever built

  • What exactly does that mean, "form follows function?" I've heard thte statement before, but I don't know what it means.

  • @Seattlecarnut

It doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as it works well.

  • @DamnStraightM35A2 Ah. I understand. I totally agree with that motto. If only every company used that as their company philosophy.

  • im looking at my C124 96' now, and guess what? :D i love it :)

  • and the hammer m117 6l version with top spead ower 300km. Epic car!

  • BEST CAR IN THE WORLD!!!! so pound & lucky to have one!

  • The Best Mercedes ever made... My dad call that a Tank

  • Just got one and love it

  • I've always loved diesel powered vehicles, but unfortunately, they've long been stigmatised for being smoky, too slow, and unreliable. None of which I agree with.

  • I swear I was born in the wrong time (1991) I wished I was old enough to occupy the w124 500e /e500 I dread for this one mercedes or a e39 / e34 m5 =(

  • Nice car, quite solid lol! I don't own a W124 but I know - it's a great car! Facelift models are quite ugly I can say... Well in the 90s all Mercedes facelifts were ugly lol!

  • @kosi4zlegend96 i love all w124s but the 94 95 facelifts were definitely a nice upgrade! my mom had an 88 300e and after her i got a 95 e320, which i thought was better looking. ive never heard anyone till now say they thought the facelift was bad, kinda weird lol now the e class from 96 to 02 on the other hand was absolutely hideous

  • @xonracer Everyone has a taste... About the 1995-2002 E-class (W210). The design was evolutionary! But the W210 has a lot of troubles. The W124 and the W140 S-class are the last MBs that are absolutely solid :)

  • My Dad bought a 190E when we lived in Belgium in the early 90s and fell in love. In 2001, he bought a 1994 E320 with 73,000 miles on it. He put an extra 94,000 miles on it. He sold it late last year and bought a 2001 E320 4MATIC since we live in Chicago. However, I know that the W124 will forever remain his favorite Mercedes.

  • THE BEST CAR EVER MADE!!!TY W124

  • a proper manual gear-box

  • W124 are the best driving cars .yes there old but still looks great on the road ! I've never owned any other car but a w124 . I think every one should drive one :')

  • I ve always wanted a w124 but my dad wouldn't let me buy one because you don't know what to expect form a 15+ year old car . So he bought me a new (other brand) car .But still ,after 6 years of driving when a see a w124 in good condition , i drool. . .

  • In Singapore, we have an E200 and an E200 Masterpiece which has electric rollerblinds and electric seats

  • Ive always liked the W124 (1984-1990 pre-facelift) the most, out of all the Mercedes E Class's. I love the functional, simplicity, No-Nonsense, Classic Design (Design by Italian Bruno Sacco). Why can't Car Makers like Mercedes keep these 'classics' in production and sell them as an alternative to the latest generation. Look at Porsche 911, Fiat 500, Uno (South America) these are still huge sellers worldwide! The W124 is like Coca-Cola in a glass bottle! It's perfect! Why change it!

  • @MRRRKOOLLL I like the facelift models more :)

  • @tiagom135 Mmmm.......I prefer the early versions from 1984-1989. I still see two in my neighborhood they still look incredibly fresh and timeless even now, testamony to the genius of designer Bruno Sacco.

  • almancası daha bi havalı :D

What this video in song ????????

  • this is the best e class ever made,i really hope MB start building cars like this again.

  • Many thanks for posting

  • i feel so bummed right now..im 15 yrs old now and i''m really into the older merc's but by the i can afford bying one there probably wont be anymore gasoline...;(;(

  • As a Benz enthusiast/owner for many years, I have to say that I had two W124's and they were the most unreliable and troublesome Mercedes I have ever owned!

In comparison to a W123 (I still have a 1978 W123 going strong) I found that the W124 build quality was awful - so did thousands of German taxi drivers that drove past the MB factory in Stuttgart in disgust at its overall poor quality.

However, MB sold hundreds of thousands of W124's and basically saved MB from going out of business.

  • W123 means rust, rust and rust. I had 2 of them, since then I know something about welding..... W124 200D, drives better, consumes less and above all no rust at all !!!

  • Any time you are in Essex England, you are more than welcome to come and see my 32 year old W123 and show me exactly where the 'rust' is?

As for the older of the W124's that I had (a 1991 190E model - at the time 6 years old with 81K) - after a year it had bad rot on 3 wheel arches, both front doors (along that stupid moisture absorbing plastic door guard) and also on the underside of the bonnet.

The other W124 E200 had electrical & suspension problems too numerous to bore you with!

  • ur kidding aren't you?

  • Tim - I've been a Merc Enthusiast since 1981 and both W124's I owned (purchased used from MB main dealers) were bloody awful!

One had a problem with rust and the other a catalogue of electrical failures AND (worryingly) the front suspension collapsed whilst driving - fortunately in a street not a motorway.

It's just bad luck as many MB owners swear by them.

However, for people on here slagging off W123's - basically they are talking out their ass! W123 build quality is LEGENDARY!

  • Well maybe u bought the the W124 was a lemon. I have friend who bought the mercedes w124 in 1993( new) and so far the only problem is the aircond. Nothing has gone wrong other than basic maintainance and the change of wiring loom every 5 years. Now I own a a 1989 w124 for nearly a year now, and so far the problem is fuel pump and the hoses that need to replace. Luckily I don't have to worry about the wiring as it was not implemented until 1991.

  • @EssexBoy696969 i have a 87' w124 300E, 300.000 miles, the biggest problem i had with the car was the injection (somewhat a broken spring, that gives 3 times more gas than it should give), problem fixed, the car runs like the day i bought it

  • Mercedes nowdays don't make benz like this anymore; it was replace by lexus for realiability. Nevertheless, w124 is still the best sedan outhere. As as owner of w124 maroon 1989 benz, I am proud of this car for giving me the best ride and most importantly, reliability.

I am 22 now and I am hoping if I have the money I will restore this car to make it look like new.

  • Thank you for uploading the English version! This dvd is really good!

  • A great car. Finding a good used one is getting difficult but these shrug off the years easily. its the product of an era when a Mercedes was truly built like no other car in the world.

  • "As world novelty provided by with four valve technique" - you can tell it's be translated fairly badly from German lol. But good to see this video in English none the less.

  • Thanks for posting this video in English!

     ★★★★★

  • @tour93

    Can't agree more with you!

  • @franky0214 Cheers! :)
