@megacrazy1994 Try looking for a section labeled either "Virutual Server(s)" or "Port Forwarding." Okai, so just ignore "Computer Name" and "Application Name" on your router. Just be sure to enter your computer's Local IP Address, TCP/UDP port 6112 in correct text boxes, Always and Allow All in required combo box.

I'm a little confused. When you type in your default gateway in the address bar and that username / password thing comes up, i dont know what it is and so i just type in admin for the user name and password for the password. But it just keeps coming back up asking me for username and password

@armageddon571 If it comes back up.. that just means the username AND/OR password you entered is incorrect. Check your router manual or check out your router's default username/password online. That is... if a custom password was not set, and if that is the case you'll need to either find out that password or reset the router completely to set password back to default.

@MelbourNeShufflarN09 If you cannot find even a default username/password for your router then you may be able to reset your router to default. Look for a smell pin-hold somewheres on your router to reset the system. The reset button could also be a small button instead.

@Im4yrsoldjkim18 You may need to add rules to your LAC connection. That is most likely your connection you are using to connect to the internet being nothing else is there. I don't use ethernet cables for my laptop so I always have a wireless connection.

Maybe you do not have a router to connect to? You may just be directly connected to a modem. many modems do not have the option to open/close ports.

You must add those rules in yourself. Just click Add and Enter 'Battle.net1' as name for one and 'Battle.net2' as name for the other. Remember TCP will be port for one and UDP is port for the other. I'm sure TCP is used, but I use UDP because of uncertainty.

Yes, you may just need to change computer software settings such as Windows Firewall in this case. If you are using a modem you may need to config ports for that.

This means that you need to logon as Administrator on your router. Not all routers have an automatic logon prompt so you may need to logon yourself to make any changes to the router settings.

Newer versions of Windows Firewall may not have the ICMP option. In those cases you do not need to worry about that option.

Yes, the Default Gateway may also be the DNS Server. There shouldn't be any other numbers added. If you mean IP Address as 'ur number' then no. That shouldn't be added in there. That is just to connect your computer with your network.

My IP address from the command prompt? That's an old computer and I have completely changed the hardware on the machine. Also our network is different. We have gone through at least 7 routers since I posted this video xP And 6112-6119 is the default range for wc3. It's used basically for multiple computers. Say 2 computers to host wc3. Forward port 6112 to 1 computer and 6113 to the other. As for linkbucks, I don't know. I have only accumulated $0.38 in about a year.

I left an annotation on that particular section of the video. It says you may have to use LAC depending on your connection. If you connected directly (Non-Wireless), you will most likely choose Local Area Connection. Basically, you should choose the choice that is communicating with your network adapter/device.

Not all networks are the same. Some routers require a logon within the page, others require entrance logon. Some do not require a logon at all.

You have two computers running the same static IP? How do you have multiple computers with the same IP on a single network? If you are speaking of an external IP then you could setup forwarding to multiple ports. All you need to do is portforward 6112 to 1 Local-IP and portforward 6113 to another Local-IP. Also, in the game settings for Warcraft III, change the Game Port in the Options to the port that is being forwarded to that specific Local-IP.

Anyways, i got a new Vista one but.. i cant figure out where i can enable the incoming router requests. I have like a different version firewall.. Is Echo requests the same thing as Router requests? because i got echo requests to work i think but i cant really click on my local area connection on this one for some reason. HELP please

By default, there shouldn't be any need to configurate any of that information as shown in my video when using Vista. If you have changed any firewall settings that may conflict with that, then there may be a problem in that area. But most likely You will not be required to enable those sections.

Yes it is possible. It shouldn't be much different from hosting with wireless connection. Actually the connection could be better saying you would be connected directly to the router. Just be sure all settings/information is correct on the LAN computer.
