Question, I have used a front shin kick on a boxer as he has to be within arm distance to strike you. As a boxer steps and drags this feet. The front shin kick will always reach the boxer front leg. This takes his mind off protecting his face as he will start to protect his shin. Just food for thought. Good video, please keep them coming.
To me I believe that the 52 Block System is effective when it comes to a fight or a street fight. But to me I believe that Jeet Kun Do is better not only it intercepts the fist or kick but Jeet Kun Do has more tools and tries to prepare you for fights just like this video. But at the same time Jeet Kun Do consist on how the person uses the skill.

I wonder if any boxers or boxing trainers have asked you to train them or their boxers to help to improve defensive skills and reflexes. A lot of these defensive techniques would make a boxer very hard to hit and or feint out of position.
in the 52s as in life there is a time for everything. if it is done at its proper time, it will work. period. remeber the offense is dirty fighting/boxing also, so ground game and all that good stuff is included. it may be considered unfair tho

I have been watching a lot of these 52 videos and I'm still not convinced of the effectiveness. There doesn't seem to been any defense for a ground game or low attack and there is a ton of unnecessary movements with the hands that just open you to attack and tire you out. I really see any of the wild arm moves in this vid. You pretty much reverted to regular boxing. I've watched the muy thai vids and i'm not impressed with the quality of the muy thai practicioners.
i hear what your saying but nak had skills but the vids show the greatest aspect of 52 which is defense and how to train it the moves are meant to fit the situation so when you see the hand move its meant as fakes to throw off your opponent before you attack not to waste energy but if you try to use 52 in this manner almost dancing with it you could run of energy but since 52 is defense thats what the vids center on the offense is something you must train punching or kicking grabbing

I've seen a couple vids with guys in headgear sparring open handed and the looked pretty good and looked like they could do well in a boxing match or stand up fight, but I wonder about a how 52 would fair in a fight where the opponent use every weapon. I feel you on the foot work being a good way to counteract attacks but even the most skilled fighter gets hit. Thats part of fighting. Do you plan on posting any vids with a full contact mma style fighter.
I know mma isn't the end all be all as far martial arts proving grounds but it's the closest thing to an actual fight. Do you know of any mma fighters that fully incorporate 52 into their style? personally I think the best defense is good offense, but one should be very eficient in defense because one can not always use a stop-hit or stop kick
I don't know about fully, but there's a vid on YouTube where Rashad Evans talks about 52. So I would assume there's probably some incorporation of it in his fight strat.

i know youre just sparring, but if this boxer was out for the kill he wouldve kept chasing you instead of stopping to let you run away. sometimes when you block you turn your head to the side, lyte, all it would take is for your opponent to shuffle in and land a haymaker on the side of your jaw to knock you out.

How is having your chin sticking out like that better than covering it and keeping it close? I think its better not to leave it to the chance that the opponent can slip in at that moment and hit flush against the chin.

Yes the gloves are backwards so you can punch with force without hurting the other person. This is just sparring there is no head gear and no reason to get cut or swollen. This is an old school technique.

Question, I have used a front shin kick on a boxer as he has to be within arm distance to strike you. As a boxer steps and drags this feet. The front shin kick will always reach the boxer front leg. This takes his mind off protecting his face as he will start to protect his shin. Just food for thought. Good video, please keep them coming.

To me I believe that the 52 Block System is effective when it comes to a fight or a street fight. But to me I believe that Jeet Kun Do is better not only it intercepts the fist or kick but Jeet Kun Do has more tools and tries to prepare you for fights just like this video. But at the same time Jeet Kun Do consist on how the person uses the skill.

I wonder if any boxers or boxing trainers have asked you to train them or their boxers to help to improve defensive skills and reflexes. A lot of these defensive techniques would make a boxer very hard to hit and or feint out of position.

I have been watching a lot of these 52 videos and I'm still not convinced of the effectiveness. There doesn't seem to been any defense for a ground game or low attack and there is a ton of unnecessary movements with the hands that just open you to attack and tire you out. I really see any of the wild arm moves in this vid. You pretty much reverted to regular boxing. I've watched the muy thai vids and i'm not impressed with the quality of the muy thai practicioners.

i hear what your saying but nak had skills but the vids show the greatest aspect of 52 which is defense and how to train it the moves are meant to fit the situation so when you see the hand move its meant as fakes to throw off your opponent before you attack not to waste energy but if you try to use 52 in this manner almost dancing with it you could run of energy but since 52 is defense thats what the vids center on the offense is something you must train punching or kicking grabbing

Thanks for replying. I've seen a couple vids with guys in headgear sparring open handed and the looked pretty good and looked like they could do well in a boxing match or stand up fight, but I wonder about a how 52 would fair in a fight where the opponent use every weapon. I feel you on the foot work being a good way to counteract attacks but even the most skilled fighter gets hit. Thats part of fighting. Do you plan on posting any vids with a full contact mma style fighter.

I'll admit you have a point that you can get in trouble being hasty and rushing in. But when is it ever a good idea to turn your head to the side when you block? How is having your chin sticking out like that better than covering it and keeping it close? I think its better not to leave it to the chance that the opponent can slip in at that moment and hit flush against the chin.

Yes the gloves are backwards so you can punch with force without hurting the other person. This is just sparring there is no head gear and no reason to get cut or swollen. This is an old school technique.

If your teacher Rah will meet and discuss this important issue why wouldn't you? The culture is worth it for the longevity and the life of it. We have gotten some guidence from the Urban Dragons Black and Latino masters of the Chinese Martial arts as to direction in building a structure for longeveity, fundementals. Do this for the culture, not for us or for your teacher RAH, do this for your ancestors and so we might pass on legacy and a link to the past warriors from this culture.
