  • ooooohh ymmy >^.^<

  • recipe arigatou gozaimasu. I tried it and it was great, i finished a with a clean plate. :D

  • Wow! So impressive! How do you make the wok fire up?

  • It is completion!

  • Delicious!! I made this for 5 minutes ago. It took me 10 minutes to make and it was really easy to do. :) Thanks for this awesome recipe!

  • @aaandreah did u use ketchup?was it really good? Idk if I should try so tell me please =)

  • @conishuaa I used ketchup but not wine, cuz I do not drink wine, and it was delicious.

  • I love watching this guy's series of cooking pasta.

  • I know the Japanese like their ketchup (and mayo for some reason) but ketchup is NOT an acceptable pasta topping, ever. I mean, ketchup on omuraisu, I'm all for that, but gimme REAL tomato sauce for pasta. There's too much sugar in ketchup.

  • Damn hungry after watching 5 videos of your cooking ...

  • coolface.jpg

  • I wonder if it really is just tomato sauce but in Japan they just seriously call it ketchup though it's not... I dunno someone correct me/inform me. Either way, this does look tasty

  • @blazeedge93 It did look a little chunky for ketchup. Even if it was though, it's not like the final product was just ketchup on spaghetti. It has the white wine, the olive oil, and the basil.

  • It's like how people westernize Japanese food, I don't see why anyone need to make a big deal out of this. It is Japanese style pasta, it didn't say it has to do with any original Italy recipes anywhere. Just because it uses pasta doesn't it mean it has to be made the authentic Italian way. It's just a fun fusion food he came up with. Let it go already and just enjoy the video!

  • @everlilies Didn't pasta originate in China anyway?

  • Real Italian dishes are amazing, but non-authentic variations are also good and comforting. This is home cooking, not restaurants. Japaneses are aware this isn't an authentic dish.

In Asia you can often find Italian-Asian fusion. While most of time I prefer authenticity, these fusion dishes can provide variety which is a positive thing.

Hopefully there'd be more food in Italy that borrow the taste of Asian cuisine as well! I'd like to try what Italian chefs can come up with their fresh palette.

  • If you don't like it ok..don't bitch about how other people cook. The tittle of the video tells you exactly what's gonna happen so why bother watching if you're just gonna be upset? Sheesh. The kitchen is a place for experimentation so quit being kitchen nazis. <3

  • if only you would put italian sausage instead of the hot dog meat and fresh tomato sauce instead of ketchup, this would actually be interesting, considering the fact that it's all well prepared with wine, flame, basil at the end and everything. but no, this is a fail. I just cant get over the fact that you put ketchup in it. it's like a hate crime to pasta. there should be an international law that prevents people from making pasta with ketchup.

  • @albyyetto keep in mind that japanese ketchup is different from the ketchup we're used to...

  • @sandrodream1 napolitan spagetti origin is America.

    it was made by Italian-Americam.

but nowadays, still popular in Japan only.

  • man when im older i wanna higher u as my personal chef :D

  • Very interesting, but what are the flame-ups? Is that oil splashing out of the pan into the flame and then catching the oil inside momentarily? Looks really tasty.

  • The paste was developed in Europe, has been around since the Latins. In parallel, developed in China. Pasta is the peculiarity of Italy, but in China there is a good production. You can give the pasta to the Latins, to the Greeks, to the Etruscans, to the Chinese, or to the Italians, but the pasta ISN'T absolutely Japanese.

  • Only true Italian use hot dog sausage in pasta

  • Babaragagagagaagaagagagagaggaagga chopppppcpppcpcpcpccpcpcpcpcp

  • he alr said its japanese style! and different countries have different ways of cooking. and we like to eat our fish raw but you people rather it grilled. so does it makes sense that i'm right and you're wrong? Chill down ppl

  • they already said it's japanese style! like different countries have different kind of cooking? You guys need to chill out.

  • noooooooooooooooooooo

  • This is almost the same as Filipino style, except for the white wine. Here we use either tomato ketchup or banana ketchup, (I don't know how on earth a ketchup can be made using a banana, though...), hot dogs, ground pork and sugar. The Filipino taste tends to favor on the sweet side, but personally, i'm not into it, or should I say I got bored of it already for so many years. I like how Italians make it.

  • However It could be a mistake on the traduction. Maybe they meant tomato sauce. I suppose that because it doesn't looks like ketchup

  • Tomato ketchup is disgusting.

  • In America, if you put hot dog in pasta, they eat it.

  • natural local food is allways the best, wherever you are

  • @dallexeitohostia I agree with you 100 %

  • Do not write Napoli or Neapolitan in your recipe, not even with your katakana alphabet. Napoli is a place in the world where you eat REAL food, not fake and yucky stuff. Neapolitan recipe IS NOT this. Ketchup is american food. This recipe is a joke. Please, do not mention Napoli for these japanese experiments...

  • @akiraoneworld

  • @fund4mentcook I love Asian food , especially Indian, and food from all over the world. and Italian food is extremely good and you probably don't even know how it really tastes like. when you say italian food is full of shit you are offending me and all of t Italian culture. I don't even live in Italy at the moment so i know how food from all over the world tastes like. in italy flavour changes every 50 km there is so much variety. you know nothing, you just use you tube to vent your frustrations

  • @lucatoscani73 Haha..I live in Europe friend..COme on..I don't deny that Italian food is good, but that's it..It's not magnificent, and the way they cook is so full of false sense of pride which the taste of italian cooking does not even come close to Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, or even Chinese food..and btw, Asian cooks are so humble, whereas italian cooks are acting out to much..pronto2 cinque2 bla2..That's why I call italian cooking are just so full of shit and so fucking overrated!

  • Comment removed

  • @fund4mentcook he fact that you live in europe doesn't mean anything. in most of europe they don't cook real italian food and italian food is not overrated.Of course everyone has its own tastes but i have the impression that you have never tasted real italian food. italian food is so good when you go in the small towns (not in the tourist spots)and you try the real food , the real tastes. i could make you a list of dishes that you dont even have idea of ...

  • @lucatoscani73 its stereotypical "american" style food

  • @wakkoswish123 you are probably right

  • @fund4mentcook I'm sure that you have never tasted the asian dishes what I eat in Spain. Our western palate are not accustomed to real asian food, as it happens with yours and real western food. And probably, that fact had an influence on your opinion of italian food when you tasted it.

  • what can i use in place of white wine if i can't use it?

  • 2 mins only! Good!

  • My god that's a hot dog.

  • In Italy if you put ketchup in pasta they kill you

  • @lucatoscani73 hell yeah! :D

  • @lucatoscani73 well this ain't italy friend..Italian food are just full of shit, they're just so fucking overrated!

ASIAN COOKING IS THE BEST! Asian foods are cooked with vast variety of ingredients, high creativity, technique and precision, unlike italian cooking, stupid antipasto, pizza, pasta shit! They're nothing more than tomato, basil, parsley, ham, salami, garlic, and olive oil..Geez italian cooking are so fuckin overrated!

  • @fund4mentcook Way to stereotype.

  • @lucatoscani73

But the most dangerous thing to do in Italy is to call this thing "spaghetti Naplitan".

  • @BackInNagano in italy all these names "spaghetti alla napoletana", "spaghetti alla bolognese" "fettuccine alfredo" "ceasar salad" are almost unknown to the italian people. these are more international dishes imitations of similar recipes in italy. these dishes that i named above are present all over the world except in italy....funny, eh?

  • @BackInNagano yes, well actually spaghetti alla napoletana actually exists but they may know about it just in the naples area...

  • @lucatoscani73 they don't kill you, a friend of my who is italian told me so. It's more shamefull to put ketchup on the pasta

  • @Ulvejenta yes its true that is more shameful to put it on the pasta but nobody mixes ketchup and pasta in Italy. It dopesn't exist.... ketchup is used only on french fries and is considered an american thing, "almost eccentric" once i was at arestaurant and cose to my table there was an american family and they asked for ketchup to put on pasta. the owner said "we don't have it sorry" then he looked at me and said" I have it" but he s going to put a shame on my restaurant if he does that..LOL

  • Do it now!!! Kill me!!! I'm here!!!

  • @lucatoscani73 in soviet russia the pasta kills italy

  • @lucatoscani73 I laughed so hard at your comment hahahah!

Cuisines are alive. They change as they move around the globe to suit different cultures' tastes (clinal gradation?). What is criminal in Italy might be acceptable in Japan, and I guess some people might just need to learn to live with it.

  • @lucatoscani73

    Well...This isn't Italy, it's Japan!!

  • @lucatoscani73 Too bad Italy is broke as hell and soon they won't be able to afford tomatoes and all pasta will be made with heinz ketchup packets. They will still ride scooters side straddle and smoke unfiltered cigarettes though.

  • @lucatoscani73 Don't pick on his English, will ya? U saw what he put in, it's chunky tomato sauce, not ketchup~

when I tried to make this pasta at home I have looked like I was mentally unstable ;) but I have to admit that it is good (although it has nothing to do with the real Italian pasta:)

  • Can you put English subtitles for your other videos too?

I really like the fact that these recipes are make in one pan and would like to try them out but I can read what is being said in the other videos.......

  • it make me so hungry when i watch him flip the pasta.

  • Würstel che schifo

  • @flblu ao anvedi che schifo te fanno ri wurstel so boni ahahahahha

  • nice flambe :)

  • i prefer Japanese pasta ESPECIALLY this dish. instead of olive oil, i use butter for that richer flavor

  • I really hope "ketchup" is a mis-translation of "tomato sauce".

  • Roll me over in breadcrumbs and dip me in shit, but that's not spaghetti.

  • I use Heinz ketchup and butter instead of olive oil.

  • that doesnt look like a regular ketchup it really looks thicker than an average ketchup it might different brand of ketchup you'll only find in japan.

  • how'd u get the fire????

  • I don't think that was ketchup, but I like how it says 'tomato ketchup source'

  • @deeprose4 it is tomato ketchup, that's how we make this dish here

  • @itsumonihon is it possible that it could just translate into tomato ketchup but maybe it is closer related to what we call tomato sauce or puree? It looks like an alright dish to me, but the ketchup thing is kinda strange, which is why I was thinking it could be something different.

  • @deeprose4 nope it's just ketchup out of a tube (i speak japanese and i also make this dish from time to time)

  • @itsumonihon Well maybe I will be adventurous and try it some time, not sure how the tomato ketchup would taste, it looks good though.

  • I made this today and it was delicious :D

  • @bwunnywuvX3 did you use ketchuo or tomato sauce? did you use the wine?

  • i think he used some tomatoe souce not jsut plain ketchup.. but i think i would even eeat it with ketchup haha

  • best spaghetti ever^^

  • It looks good, except I don't like peppers, onions, or sausage. I'd just subtract those and eat the spaghetti and tomato sauce. The dish that you made isn't considered pasta in Italy. Pasta is traditionally combined with cheese and is cooked more al dente. Spaghetti is an Italian-American dish made with tomato sauce, meat, and vegetables. Spaghetti is also cooked to be more soggy.

  • @BlueMicrowave That way it won't get more healthy. Just a little crunch from the shortly baked green paprika/bell-pepper and onion gives a nice addition.

  • @heroprodygee I have a salad before dinner (sometimes). I like lettuce and carrots, but just no bell-peppers. YUCK!!! I don't know why, but I just wanna *bleh after eating them. Even the sound of them being sliced makes me feel *bleh. Bell-peppers are good for you because they have a lot of vitamin C. Since I don't like them, I guess I could choose some orange juice in the morning. d(n_n)b

  • @BlueMicrowave Uh, no. Pasta isn't traditionally combined with cheese. It isn't traditionally combined with anything because there isn't one specific way to make it. There are many ways of making pasta as there are people in Italy. Spaghetti with meatballs is Italian American, but spaghetti in and of itself is just the name of a particular type of pasta, not the name of a particular dish.

  • @thatgirlinitaly - basic spaghetti are just : noodles, tomatoes, grated cheese, meat sauce

  • Actually looks pretty good, perro por que usaron ketchup asi sabe bueno? Que suave estillo de cocinar amigo!! Nice work! -TX

  • This looks wonderful! I don't see why some of the comments have to be 'negative' sounding. This is a variation on the Italian pasta so it doesn't have to have the exact same ingredients. In fact, I can't imagine what the cooking world would be like if we all stick to the exact same recipe--so, so boring!!! There would be no innovative ideas! No place to experiment! And many people find the most interesting/curious things on accident. So experiment away!

  • @firelily whatever man tomato ketchup can never substitute sauce napoli even passata or tomato juice would be better than ketchup that dish is not very innovative

  • it looks delicious

  • you don't know anything about real pasta!

Nice Japanese version:) But i prefer the Italian version with tomatos sauce,it's probably less sweet than ketchup version^^ Ciao ciao

  • I LIKE SPAGHETTI

  • I don't have white wine....can use red wine to cook?

  • EPIC FAIL ngs cook!

  • tomato ketchup???? are you crazy guy?

  • they probably dont have spaghetti sauce in japan

  • @amaykay420

that is probably the most ignorant comment i've heard

  • @spamdory lol have u ever been there? i have been to china and japan and what i meant by that is that they have variations of spaghetti sauce and other types of things that would be standard in America. please dont label people as ignorant if you yourself are ignorant as well.

  • @amaykay420

come over here in Japan and i will show you myself!

and by the way are you familiar with the term CREATIVITY?

  • @amaykay420 They have spaghetti sauce ( tomato sauce base ) ,but there are variety of spaghetti in Japan, probably more than Italy. They just love creativity.

  • Mamma mia he schifo!

  • i make an easier version. cook pasta in boiling water for 5 minutes, take it out and put it on a dish. add 3 mcdonald's ketchup packets, twirl it around and serve.

  • did he use ketchup or sometning that is like tomatoe ketchup?

  • No Garlic?

  • good cook

  • hmmm! It looks very good! I will try it tomorrow!!!!

  • Ahhh, now I know how to make Napolitan.

  • You're not good in teaching! you didn't even say what are those ingredients!

  • he/she wrote it

  • @escaflownebutantan all ingredients are in the discreption.

  • I just leveled up watching these videos. I am humbled.

  • what kind of sausage

  • this looks so good.. :(

  • mamma mia!!!

  • ahhhh call 911 the house in on fire

  • reminds me of Sausage goulash with spaghetti :)

  • im fucking hungry, spaghetti is the best
