  • thank you so much for this awesome lesson! :)

  • One of the best riffs ever. Fun to play. Great lesson. I never used the slide on the 5 string 3rd fret style before but I loved how it cleaned it up and added a better sound to the riff. Great stuff!

  • 2:46 made me smile. This is definitely a song on the "things to learn" list.

  • love this song

  • i live close to west minister colorado

  • you should be famous

  • what tuniing is this in

  • Standard EADGBE tuning

  • This helped so much! Thanks :)

  • after 445 people saw this vid 445 people could play this song! thx for the vid best lesson ever!!!!

  • Muito bom! Foda! Great!

  • Thanks for the lesson.. Love the song.. On another note, I have lived in Oregon my whole life and plan on moving to Colorado.. I am flying there in 3 weeks and staying in Westminster. We plan on traveling around the Denver area and up to Fort Collins. What are some nice areas to live in Colorado? Again, thanks for the guitar lesson!

  • Fort Collins, Boulder and Westminster are all nice...just depends on what you're looking for

  • @GuitarRiffVideos I've only been to Ft. Collins. It was GORGEOUS!!

  • Very good lesson- easy to follow !!

  • It also helps to have your guitar tuned half a step down as they original play it.

  • thank you thank you !!!! I have been playing guitar under 5 months. This lesson was crystal clear and I COMPLETELY got it down under 30 minutes AND i was high.

How much clearly can u get ??? THUMBS UP

  • awesome lesson,thank you kind Sir...rock on

  • The 2nd open G on the G string is incorrect. It's actually the G on the low E string. Other than that this is a most excellent video!

    and Colorado rocks!

  • nice lesson i have a marshall mg15fx how can i get that eddie tone? and just that slide to sound like an harmonic? thanks

  • What amp are you using?

  • Marshall 410 half stack

  • simple and easy! thanks so much :)

  • That guitar is crazy ugly o.O(just my opinion)...but the vid is awesome, thanks for the tutorial =)

  • Thanks Paul! I'm still working on this..I got the strings but def. not the speed...nice job of getting this across! Great instructions.

  • Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!! That was a really good lesson!!

  • thats kick assssssssss!!!!! YAY! i know how to play this now hehehehehehe...

  • Well done! You must be a teacher of some kind. I say this, cause I've been a middle school teacher for about 15 years. I've also been playing guitar for 35 years (I started when I was in the womb) so I appreciate your clean licks!

  • Hey um hi i went to judas priest backstage and they said that on their iron maiden tribute they got tje song out from you, thats cool UP THE IRONS

  • thanks helped a lot

  • Cheers. Great lesson. What is the picking method for this. Is it just alternate picking every note?

  • Yes

  • @GuitarRiffVideos how do u play the next bit where your on the high E and B strings sliding up the neck its like 1 , 3 , 5 , 6 frets or something, but i dont know (how do you play this part?) the technique. it almost sounds like he's using the whammy as he's going up on those strings.

    awesome lesson...

  • Seriously? The original sounds like downstrokes to me.

Nevertheless, very nice lesson and very good sound.

  • Great lesson!!! Thanx

  • Great lesson I think I'll check u guys out

  • good lesson, like how u slowly played it up to tempo

  • Well tought, thanx a lot.

  • Funny how at first it sounded all wrong then 5mins later, my brain woke up and allowed me to hear the music. Thanks!!

  • Ed does slightly flatten his B string, for intonation reasons... but this is an awesome video. I wish all guitar instruction vids were this concise.

    Thank you!!

  • I have a fender GDEC 30 what amp setting should I use to get the same sound that you have

  • See the channel volume high and the master volume low

  • this is awesomee

  • what is the key of A? Does that mean tuning guitar to

    e| to a

    b| to c#

    g| to a

    d| to e

    a| keep same

    E| to a

  • No, tuning is still standard tuning...

    E,A,D,G.B high E

  • @GuitarRiffVideos i thought it was tuned a half step down from EADGBE

  • nah, same tuning, that just means that A will be your root note to play with and to solo you might use an A major scale

  • thanx, i learned it! after like 3 years!

  • thnx i learned it when the vid ended-.-

  • WOW. THAT IS A LOT OF SPEAKERS.

  • nice vid buddy thanks well documented.

  • Beginners question: Since it sounds very clear. Do you mute the strings? And if yes, the whole time (apart from the tremolo-moment)?

    Thanks

  • The first few notes of the passage are muted, the last 4 notes of the riff are not muted

  • thanks for the instruction helped a lot!!! greets from berlin:-)

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • Tom Holmes

  • thanx

  • what is that tuning?

  • Standard E- tuning

  • Great man!

    Thanks!

  • Great instructions! Thanks!

  • how do u get ur amp 2 sound like that?!?

Plz say the settings on it.

  • The channel vol is high and the master vol is low. The amp is a Marshall 410 which has very high output. Experiment with the vol level on your guitar and your amp and you may find a similar tone.
