  • @ 1:45 i thought it said EPIC in the rpm gauge

  • i let my girlfriend drive my 79 ford highboy with a 12v cummins and a split 10 dumptruck transmission and stacks up our drive way and she rolled smoke like CRAZY

  • You look like a teacher, lol.

  • PURPLE SHOES!

  • HA ha ha ... O i need gas... 4:51 lol

  • Check engine light is on.. hope you got that taken care of

  • Old woman speeding, THANK YOU GOD

  • Imma get an Audi

  • @ThisMyShit4Real audis are a piece of crap

  • i feel like she's teaching kids..

  • i thought that all European cars had the reverse on the left?

  • @132oink depends on the year this is from 96-01 so the reverse is on the right. Mine is a 98 and its on the right also.

  • @132oink Normally Audi's do, but I think because it's an older model Audi, and it has a 5-speed, I think that's why reverse is on the bottom right..

  • She must know how to stroke a knob well

  • Audi practically teaches you to drive the car! LOL

  • She likes Driving STICKS ;)

  • whats the other lever on the steering column for? i know one (typically on the left of the wheel - facing the drivers side window) would be the signals and/or lights and/or wiper control, but what would be the one on the right of the wheel (towards the shift knob)?

  • Just take the handbreak off woman..

  • For being a woman she actually isn't that bad.

  • Better than them ol' bearded guys mumbling

    Easy to understand

  • she probably had the easiest video to understand on utube

  • Isn't she Ian's mom ? :D

  • @CNFxC Good question

  • This is probably how she normally drives. She talks to herself and has to verbalize everything she does.

  • when you upshift... do you clutch let go of gas then shift then let go clutch back to gas or can you keep your foot on gas a bit?

  • @hallal55 Gas off, clutch down, shift up, clutch up, gas on. I wouldn't recommend keeping the gas on as it will ware your cluth out quicker.

  • @newrez oh okay.. cuz in grand turismo when you dont let go of the gas it goes in nutreal (stalls)

im wondering what in a real manual it would do... would it mess up the rpm?

    thanks man!

  • @hallal55 If you are starting from standing still, you need to ease on the gas as you ease off the clutch, after you have it ingear. You can start a car off without any gas, but it depends on the car and you have to ease it very slowly. The RPM will drop doing this method.

Otherwise, if you are already moving, you shouldnt really use the gas until you have finished the shift. Its known as slipping the clutch.

  • @hallal55 you should take your foot of the gas when upshifting

  • @datpimpinboy is it same thing for down shift?

  • @hallal55 well when downshifting you could "revv match" which means you accelerate a bit to try to match the engine speed with the transmission speed. But you dont necessarily have to

  • @datpimpinboy is that used for more aggresive driving and racing or wouldnt matter asmuch for daily driving?

whats the pros would it just shift smoother or accellerate smoother?

  • @hallal55 it can be used for daily driving, it just down shifts smoother. You can look up more info on revv matching in google

  • Floor it, then let off the clutch!

  • when i was young i never got taught how to drive manual becuase none of my family members had stick shift cars

    reply back

  • WHY IS SHE HOLDING THE HAND BRAKE LIKE THAT FOR SO LONG? IDK WHAT TO THINK ABOUT IT, IM NERVOUS

  • MY AUDI IS 6-SPEED 3.0.. ITS FOR SALE! $8,500. MESSAGE ME.

  • Im Back In Kindergarten !!

  • Slow in the beginning, but she sure knows how to haul ass in the end.

  • she seems like a good instructor. very patient... would be great for teaching kids esp girls

  • umm lets say ur in 4th gear n want to slow down, can u just put the car in neutral from 4th n stop gradually??

  • @flyleb learn how to drive hosser!

  • @MrPimp454 wat r u on about? n wtf is hosser??

  • @flyleb listen bitch who ever you are that lady doesn't know how to drive you shift before the rpms get that high and you obviously haven't left you house in 50 years so u dont know what i am talking about

i am again by the way

    respect me

  • @MrPimp454 Im pretty sure she can drive better than you. Im 18 dickhead. ur a fkn dooshbag ! FUCK OFF U WORTHLESS MOTHERFUCKER !!

  • @flyleb kiss my ass your probably alittle fat bitch eating mcdicks in your peice of shit car and your talking about me how dare you you useless little bitch!

  • @MrPimp454 Im gonna rip your mum a new asshole you faggot. And after im done with her im going to cum in your face. Hope you like mayonnaise!! btw im not fat..19 years 80 kg 185cm and a big DICK that ur mum loves so much. yeah so ur prediction is way off

  • @flyleb you can. remember cluch then Neutral. but yes you can.

  • @Hudsin95 thnx man :)

  • @nyrithz i know rite lol. I juss like to see it i guess

  • Can anybody explain me why I, and probably a lot of you, are watching this vid while we know how to drive manual? LOL

  • @Nyrithz haha, that's a good question :D

  • @Nyrithz I was thinking the same thing

  • @Nyrithz true that bro

  • @Nyrithz Simple because we got the hot for manual trans cars that's all. I don't even care if the uploaders know how to drive a manual, all I want is to look at a manual car, because they don't suck as much as an automatic.

  • @Nyrithz Lol probably cause we want to point out what theyre doing wrong lmfao

  • @Nyrithz cause ur bored like me

  • @Nyrithz cuz its fun to watch people give bad instructions and then troll them on youtube

  • nice vid!

  • Pushing the clutch in actually RELEASES the clutch - letting the pedal out ENGAGES it.

  • i can start my car w/o the clutch. just has to be in neutral.

  • what year is that Audi?

  • nice vid

  • ok im new to driving manuel so whats the point of the E-brake

  • @radar396

uhh, the ebrake will hold you car much like the PARK gear in an automatic would. your car will roll away if stopped on a slope with no ebrake on.

  • @radar396 Remember, make sure the car is ingear if the E-brake is engages when stoped especially on a hill. When you disengage it is when you are ready to go. NEVER drive with the E-brake on it wears it out.

  • @radar396 - the handbrake is there in case your car suffers a complete failure of the hydraulic brakes. It works by cable to the rear brakes. It will also hold your car from rolling back when you do a hill start (you need to have your feet on the clutch and gas and off the foot brake when you're doing this).

  • Americans should all get manual transmission to get some exercise

  • @difsthlm i'm not american, i drive stick, but seriously you think driving stick it's exercise?? you should try walking sometime...

  • @difsthlm Dumb fuck haha

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for the lesson grandma.

  • I learned how to drive a stick on that model year A4, and man did I stall alot. Clutch pedal in those were tricky for me at first

  • Yes mommy, thx for teaching

  • I follow the red line rule...

  • I wish all cars were automatic. Manuals take the fricking piss in traffic.

And Europeans are more macho than Americans because they drive stick shift from birth. So suck out all you americans :P

  • your still a woman and i still wouldnt trust you to drive me anywhere in a manual car.

  • @PresidentOfTheBlack regardless of that, this is probably one of the best how to drive stick videos ive seen, and mostly because its a nice older women who took her time to explain and not be so serious about the situation, and kept cool. im a guy, and ill admit, when i was 12 and i saw a girl in a car i wanted or liked, i got angry too buddy.

  • lovin the audi lol

  • i want that car

  • how do you go to a lower gear while driving

how do you go to a higher gear while driving

how do you stop and go

  • Videos like this never tell you how to stop/brake......

  • @Omega08082 dumbfuck juss hold the clutch when u come to a stop.....god, are all of you people fucking stupid

  • @prosurfer2222 that burns your clutch up you fuckin idiotic fucker

  • @donz899 no you fucked up asshole right b4 u stop completely juss hold the clutch....its not fucking rocket science

  • @donz899 not when under about 1000 rpm. I think that is what he means

  • @donz899 no it doesn't :P

  • these germans cars, theyre very bossy :p

haha im 16, looking to buy an 2000 audi! its a manual though so thanks for the video

  • :-D it´s really strange to look at video like this...Iˇam from Czech Republice in hearth of Europe...we have mostly manual... I drove automatic only in Smart... automat has one big plus.... try to imagine someone who can´t drive so got at semaphore...

  • WASHINgTON

  • Question, why are we learning this from a chick?

  • goin 50? in 4th gear? that cant be right.. Thats Slow

  • That's a deep clutch i don't like them like that.

  • so u hit the clutch every time u change the dpeed???

  • @ZnG4eva every time u go to switch gears u gotta pull it in but u also go feather back out...u cant just drop it n expect it 2 pull away smooth

  • @yz250frider1 hehe ook thanks :D

  • @ZnG4eva Yea. That's the only way to change the gears and you change them whenever the RPM meter goes over 3-4k rpm. You can switch gears earlier or later depending on how much horsepower you want.

    1st gear-0-10 mph

    2 gear-10-20 mph

    3 gear-20-40 mph

    4 gear- 40-56 mph

    5 gear- 50-70 mph

6 gear- The max mph on the car

  • @Omega08082 nooo.....shift when ever the fuck you want....1st gear doesnt end in 10mph

  • If you cant drive a manual dont expect to drive in europe

  • its actually the A6

  • I enjoyed your video!

  • I enjoyed your video!

  • OMFG SO MUCH WORK. wow

  • This instructional video is very clear, useful, and friendly. Keep this good stuff coming!

  • what's the model of audi?

  • @Th3Tranc3 A4

  • @Th3Tranc3 its an audi S4 i think.

  • thx

  • iam from germany and it looks like the old A4 quattro

    its no s4

  • @Badmax93 Yeah it's an A4 quattro, you can see the quattro badge on the grill.

  • @Badmax93 s4 came out in 2000 i believe

  • i want a car :((

  • in Portugal you only drive auto if your a handicap

  • Same in Sweden. 99% drive manual.

  • lol who still argues over youtube videos? get it together.

  • You get it together,Youtube is all about flaimng, u scrub.

  • @dryan2 who says scrub anymore? get these nuts together

  • HA!,like you have one :P

  • I love manual cars!

  • This lady is fricking sweet driving a stick. But the Audi must go. BMWs only please.

  • and any of you fuckers think you are great drivers driving in controlled traffic like London, New York City, or any european countries, I suggest you try driving in Bombay, India. If you can pull that off, I applaud you, otherwise you are nothing special

  • wait, was that EVEN called for??

  • Lmao I need gas

  • I love how alot of Europeans are calling American's stupid because many American's don't start out learning manual. Shows where the "arrogant prick" stereotype comes from for the Europeans.

  • Ya, I'm American. This is embarrassing. We do have some goos drivers, but they all compete on international circuits. I was able to drive stick first try, but it was shaky.

  • Everyone has to learn the basics and practice. No one is born knowing how to drive. That includes all you arrogant assholes ( mostly European ) who started out driving stick, probably because gas is more expensive in most European countries, and not because you are so macho.

  • no its because driving a car means manual, driving an auto you might as well drive a golf cart lol autos are for lazy dumbass yanks or people with only 1 leg lol

  • neither is it necessary to use manual especially if you are in the city with lots of traffic...most people buy manual cars in more open areas because there's room to go faster

  • @zordon43

Europeans drive manuals for what ever reason but everybody has a choice to drive a manual or a automatic in europe just the majority drive manual since more cars are manufactured as manual so there cheaper then some automatics. there is no difference between the gas in a manual and a automatic, either petrol or diesal.

  • @zordon43 they're arrogant? nationalistic prick.

  • @zordon43 not because of the gas but of the roads, in US theres lots of traffic so most cars in this country are automatic because manual isnt comfortable in traffic. and yes everyone has to practice no 1 is the best but most Europeans in US buy manual because its funner and they dont get as bored as in the automatic.

  • @BadziusWnUtv Also in europe the roads in major citys are polluted with traffic, infact there was a research about the most traffic polluted citys, the top 5 were all asian an african citys like bejing, mumbai, cairo, then came te european citys like london, moskou, paris, amsterdam, La was 13th, New york was 25ft, so that's not the reason, i drive manual because it's fun, like most europeans. With a manual you have more control over your car.

  • @zordon43 lol

  • @zordon43 so ur saying that people that start off driving stick first are assholes?

  • @zordon43 shit. ur a fkn redneck arent u

  • @kubiczek20 Fuck you, you worthless mother fucker!

  • how many times did she say: I am going!?

  • I'm inviting you to come over here to Germany and drive a manual in european traffic. Than whe can see how easy it is for you.

  • I have driven around london u know... (It is illegal I know) and hard

  • @fertref

oh shut the fuck up already. you are driving a car, not performing brain surgery. if you are not able to drive a car in the traffic you live in you are a complete fucking retard.

THERE IS NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE IN YOUR HOME COUNTRY SO FEEL FREE TO SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • Dear, calm down! I don't think that I'm a "complete fucking retard" just by mentioning that european traffic can be trickier then the US sort. Nice video, by the way ;-)

  • German cars are not very bossy, it's the silly US laws that are

  • rmp too high at 3000K? that's funny!

  • Yeah, modern diesels feel very alive between 1500 and 2500 rpm's

  • great video. very informational. thank you

  • (This Was "An" Video...) man they should work on their english

  • u want ppl to have acidents ?

  • I can't shift from 1st in 2nd etc. Horrible video. Doesn't tell you how to change gears when you are moving! Please help

  • hey ur pretty good, do u wanna ride my stick

  • Real smooth......

  • i no

  • the only problem i had with stick shift is to move the car

  • i even got an evo 8 with a barbieQ plate

  • you have no idea how much i was hoping the garage took off the mirror when she was pulling out lol.

  • Video:

Good tutorial for learning. Only Neutral is not between 1st & 2nd (if anything its between 3rd & 4th). I would instead mention that the stick/shifter is in neutral if its loose when you jiggle it (which it isnt when in gear). Nice car BTW.

  • GREAT instructional video! i wish you were here with me to teach me in person =]]

  • Beutiful Audi ;p

  • you really talk to much

  • I just got a 90 Isuzu Amigo, and it is hard for me to start out...thanks for the video, but I fear this older car is harder....I drove an 88 Porsche and it shifted amazing..but this is hard :(

  • But how do you break? Lets say I'm driving at 45mph and then suddenly get a red light do I have to put it on neutral and break or what do I have to do?

  • Either press in the clutch and slam on the brake, or run the red light.

  • Push in the clutch and the brake pedal and hope you stop in time.

After you've been driving for a while, it becomes part of every day driving. I'm 23 and I've been driving a manual car since I was about 11.

  • neutral and brake, thats it. downshifting takes too much time and don't downshift into first because that will be nightmarish to the engine...

  • first brake until u get right around the 2nd gear shift then put it in neutral it helps save gas, and doesnt rid your clutch as much

  • yep

  • They have cruise control on manual cars, right?

  • yup

  • yeah

  • were already going about 50 which means im speeding hahahah - funniest part lol

  • very nice video but the music in the beginning is irritating for some reason lol

  • nice lady, good teacher

  • GILF!

    lol naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
