@XarkoCZ 5 are only the weapon skills and you also have to remember that dodge actually exist, not only use them at random for you but when is useful for the party and I guess 1 hit will take more life from you+dragon reacting more often. IDK we will see.

@brehon1104 This is just a bad copy of the video it would say. Issues with streaming. I've seen a couple of other videos with this fight and it runs very smoothly. Arenanet is doing a good job in polish and I hope they take their time and make the game near perfection.

The event is on a timer, and it's made easier by the fact that they have like 40+ people helping them back at ArenaNet who knows what they're doing and have been playing the game trough its development, and groups have still wiped at it a few times during the conventions. There is also the fact that they spawn the players with higher level then they would normally be in this zone to make it a little easier during conventions when people are picking up the game for the first time.

@Jeros420 The scythe is a spell effect from one of the necromancer's staff abilities. If you watch, the staff will occasionally gain a blade made out of shadow after he uses a certain ability, I forget if it's Reaper's Mark or Touch, but ya. There may very likely be actual scythes in game that players can use, but in this case it was a spell effect.

there is no such weapon as scythe in Guild Wars 2. Scythe blade appears when necro cast a spell, so it's basically a staff with cool blade animation :). Reffering to your hope, I think that "scythe" is necro only ;( But maybe next expansion bring Dervish back (a class from original Guild Wars) which was using scythe as a main weapon :)

@Jeros420 This isn't a real scythe weapon. It's only a skill effect. Reaper's Touch: 'Send out a scythe that cripples foes, while making allies swift.' There will be no scythes in GW2 that's for sure. Maybe later with an expansion but don't count on it.

@ForsakenSolid well personally i think a dervish can addapt very well to the gw2 new combat engine, i mean humans still believe in the gods making that all avatar thing still a good idea. they are also extremely versatile ( for example in gw1 dervs could be healers, tanks, dps and runners ) so yeah im taking they will make a comeback, probably in the elona expansion since you didnt see many dervs in canta or tyria.. and many people like dervs so why not, it would be a more than welcome class.

anyone find something wrong with a Sylvari engineer? I mean they are born out of a tree and are basically a plant. So apparently they are born with the knowledge of firearms, i can see them using pistols as a thief but the engineer with a turret and grenades just doesn't seem right. Thumbs up if you agree with me.

@Xaad12 If you knew anything about the lore, the Sylvari were born from the Pale Tree, and before they came into existence, they existed in "The Dream". While in "The Dream", despite the fact the Sylvari had no physical form, they came to understand and know everything about the world of Tyria. Example: Even if they have never fired a gun in their life... because of The Dream, they'd be able to pick one up and have no problems firing it.
