Last night I've seen Tristania and is really sad what's happening now with this band. I appreciate their work and effort BUT they will never be what use to be when Vibeke S. was in the band. The only thing that reminded me of the old band was the guys voices. For me era Tristania end it with the album Illumination(2007).

But it's hard not to be redundant after many albums, and remain popular like they still are and not being cheesy. Take Black album from Metallica, for example. Vibeke left for "personal reasons." More specific reasons I've heard are that she had a baby and that she wanted to become a music teacher. Not sure if either is true.
