  • TYT Los Angeles Protest At The CNN Building (Thursday, Nov 5)

    watch?v=dYlL90yKc3E

  • watch?v=1D8Kt84YAYY

  • Interesting commentary here in the comment section; the "wisdom" of 19 - 21 year olds. Well when you kids graduate from college and there are no jobs for you... What then?

  • its the peoples own fault, back in the times people would stand up against bullshit and heads were rolling.

now? nothing, they sit on their fat tv meal asses and do nothing while being fucked in the ass by ridiculous politicians/corporate whores

  • Good points. We need to work on raising working-class consciousness.Only when workers start helping workers will things change for the better.

  • these last three videos sucked

  • haha, york university ftw.

  • Wow, only one comment has gotten an upvote so far. Just goes to show if you want approval, keep your statements general and vague. =)

  • what do you consider news?

  • Events that actually occur. Commentary is not news, never has been, never will be.

  • Greed is never something to glorify - by definition it produces a few winners and legions of losers. Any society dominated by greed will be deeply unequal and injustice will be constant.

  • Agreed, we need to revitalize the labor movement because the problem is social... ABOLISH CAPITALISM!

  • USA doesn't have CAPITALISM they have CORPORATISM!

  • So what? That fact by itself doesn't exonerate capitalism. Capitalism, even in it "pure" form is still unstable, exploitative, unfair, and leads to grossly iniquitous social outcomes. Also, most capitalism devolves into some kind of corporatism. Want an example? The gilded age. We had laissez-faire capitalism, and you know what happened? It led to grossly unfair distributions of wealth and eventually devolved into corporatism before progressives reformed things a little.

  • I fail to see how capitalisms "shortcomings" justifies using it as a way to describe corporatism. I don't know much about the gilded age, I will try to educate myself through wikipedia.

  • I'm realize corporatism is different than capitalism, however, they are still both considered right-wing ideologies. Fixing a problem created by a rightist ideology by going even FURTHER right is NOT the solution. But given the fact that you don't know about the gilded age yet use the word "Corporatism", it's clear that you're yet another libertarian conservative parroting everything that comes out of Ron Paul's mouth.

  • *facepalm*. I'm not as good as you with the I-like-to-infer game. I use the word corporatism as defined in marriam-websters dictionary. If it holds some additional meaning for those who've studied the gilded age I should somehow take that into consideration? Or is it the fact that I don't understand all the intricate details on why you ended up with a corporatism society, the capitalism to corporatism transition?

  • You see, there's a problem with using dictionary definitions- mainly that dictionaries have to give succinct descriptions, and for that reason they aren't very good at describing political theories. You can't describe an entire THEORY in a paragraph or less. All you right-libertarians should realize... We had unregulated capitalism at one point in history, and we CHOSE to get rid of it. Working in a sweatshop for a measly wage 18 hours a day under threat of starvation isn't my idea of "freedom".

  • And you're a fool implying capitalism is a problem when it's time proven to be the best form of economics anyone can adopt.

  • Not true... For example, the Spanish anarchists in the 1936 revolution were largely able to create a society based on mutual aid and they flourished... And ended up doing much better than they had under capitalism.

  • "they flourished"

Until a majority of the anarchists were executed in 1939. You can't cite a resistance movement that only effectively lasted three years and ended in mass executions as an effective form of economics and be taken seriously.

  • They were crushed by an EXTERNAL force (fascism)... which has nothing to do with the INTERNAL stability or productivity of a syndicalist economy.

  • As capitalism continues to fail societies, new forms of economic organisation will continue to be experimented with.

History hasn't ended, stay tuned for more developments. ;-)

  • capitalism hasn't failed because it wasn't capitalism that led to this it was corporatism.

  • Paulheads have been desperately pushing for this idea that capitalism today isn't really capitalism because of the presence of the state in the economy, oblivious to the fact that every successful capitalist economy in History, from the British Empire to China or Singapore today, was supported by a strong state.

Clearly, also, they have refused to learn anything from the potential for destruction of minimally or wholly unregulated markets, such as the US derivatives market.

    Fools.

  • No, the problem is you don't know the difference between Capitalism vs Corporatism.

  • Paulhead response: "B-B-B-BUT RON PAUL SAID SO!"

  • They did, along with the management, make the auto industry go bankrupt. One business and 2 leeches. Pathetic

  • Greed and Selfishness is destroying America.

  • It destroyed it long ago. It wasnt greed it was colectivist thinking. Greed in the market place is good as long as it doesnt malipulate the gov to give it special interest.

  • And now most recently monitisation and financialisation of everything from oil to food

  • The real unemployment number is more like 20%. It will reach 50% or better so get ready.
