@LovingTheWBC In 1915 the Turkish Government organized a genocide against the Armenians who were living in the Ottoman empire. More than 1.5 million Armenians were killed, massacred and left to die! They wanted to get rid of the "Armenian Problem", they stole our lands in the process. 96 years have passed and the Turkish government still denies that they have done anything wrong! President Obama promised to recognize the massacres as Genocide, but has failed to do so after his election.

@LovingTheWBC It is a crime in Turkey to sujjest or even mention that their government could have been played a part in such a heinous crime. Some people have gone to prison for suggesting such a thing. But it is a reality! It is the first genocide of the 20th century, for which we want justice and our lands back. Many assyrians and greeks were also killed in the process. Turkey's excuse: it was World War I and for that reason many people died...whcih is completely false.

For which we were discriminated against and discrimination leads to hate which can cause violence...in this case, it lead to Genocide. But, religion was only one of many factors that lead to these atrocities. The Armenian Genocidewas also mentioned by Hitler when he said : " Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?"

@xbabyblue88x I've actually been studying a bit of the religion Arminianism VS Calvinism. Do armenians also follow arminianism? Or Are armenians from somewhere (ie; like the Jews are from Israel)? Is it more about recognition & support by the United States, or is it also about getting your ancestors land back? Obama, from one video, said that he wants to leave the Armenians and the Turks to work it out on their own. What do you need from Obama? (thanks for responding by the way)

@LovingTheWBC This is the first I've heard of arminianism, but as far as I know there's no link between the two. Armenia was the first nation to adopt christianity as its religion. And armenians are from Armenia (though there have been many changes, geographickly speaking, during time). It's about both - we want to U.S. government (which stands for democracy, freedom and justice) to recognize the genocide and put pressure on Turkey to recognize it's wrong doings!

@LovingTheWBC It's also about getting our lands back, the lands that belonged to our ancestors! All of their territories, their belongings were taken away (the Turks told the Armenians to leave their belongings and only take what's valuable with them, because they were going to return to their homes, when it would be safe - but this was just an excuse and they took everything!) They took over the cities and towns and made it look as if there was never any Armenian presence left!

So if the U.S was to recognize the genocide, this would put a strain on their relationship = all about politics. My grandfather was a survivor, so I know first hand what he went through during that period of his life! He lost his entire family...
