Someone in my family, Alex Miller (My Grandma's cousin I think) was killed by a mine a few days after the war finished. Terrible weapons, go on killing for decades after.

Hi, it was very moving for me to see this as my Granddad was in the 17th Field Coy RE and knew your uncle briefly before was killed.
