Your concept of cinematography is fantastically professional! Sure, it's not exactly Hollywood CGI here, but seems like some super cool previz for a movie.
if this were real the thunderbirds are a good source of global warming =p
u need a lot of fuel to shoot a rocket into the air and to keep it running... not to mention tb2 and tb3... ncie video man... what program u used to make the models?
Aww man that was my favourite scene when I was a kid. Used to rewind the video and watch it again and again. Your video is very well done. Great on the details.
I can't say it's very convincing, but the use of framing and the use of composition is REALLY good! You used the perfect angles and shots to create a very good movie even though it has graphical limitations :o I'm really impressed by that :p
It would've been cool though if the music climaxed just before Thunderbird 1's launch :p And you'd see TB1 from the front just like the show, but that's just me :p
Heartily agreed. Despite its lack of professional-level detail, there's some strong filmmaking skills behind it; with more time for modeling, this would be strong feature film-level stuff.
thanks, well what we are doing is making somthing called edf that homages thunderbirds and captain scarlet quite a bit, making my own thunderbirds episode is quite tempting but i cant resist the allure of making up my own universe
Just shows what talent there is. That sequence was well worth theh attention of Hollywood. After all, that's how the basic graphics are worked out from the start.
Keep em comin. Actually, ever thought about a movie. That other comment about the Last Starfighter - where the hell does he think they got half of the ideas from in the first place!! Twonk!
Fantastic mate! A Million times better than the that prick of a movie "Spy Kids wanks Virgil Off" bullshit by Jonathon "Was crap at Star Trek as well" Frakes
well thunderbird 2 had to be taken down cuz some yobs started bugging my brother, the fx for tb3 have been on my hard drive for a year now so ill stitch that together somtime with the edf crew soon
REALLY nice work! I saw the original first time round and have been a fan of Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation shows ever since Supercar. Your work is a fitting tribute to the creative genius that went into those old puppet shows.
Some chav at some shop was bugging my brother who played virgil about it so i took it down, im might see if i could put it up on a less widely used video sit but im not sure
Excellent. Better put together than the daft movie. AS other's have said. with more work on the CG this would be amazing, but structurally it is faultless.
Excellent job, great modelling and nice animation. Just a shame the rendering lets it down. With a serious engine behind it, that would kick the pants out of any Yank movie version.
Tell you what, you find a way to get a full design team together with good financial backing, make 15 minutes of test footage and show it to Gerry Anderson. Mixing the style of the old series with the believablity of the new vehicles could make this show the biggest hit since a thing called television was invented. In other words, WELL DONE!
Thunderbird 1 is my FAVOURITE!! They should have used something similar to this for that so-called movie. Oh and a decent plot as well would have worked! Nice job!
What CGI software did you use? Maya? Blender? also I like the model of thunderbird 1 :)
