All this stuff somehow found its way down the M40 to where I lived (outside High Wycombe) around 80/81. All the older lads were sticking their speakers out of their bedroom windows on Saturday mornings (oo er) and playing it until they got threatened with the law. It became the soundtrack to my childhood on my patch for a while. Didn't understand it then but still love it now! It's a sort of nostalgia I suppose because I still get that warm shiver down the spine when I hear it.
This is great!! My friends & I in NYC were listening to 2Tone in the 80s. Not many people were into it though. This really takes me back. Ska'd for life!!
