I'm not sure what you're recording with, but you could try sending me the raw video some time; I use MEncoder + some specific settings to encode mine...

I use a DVD recorder. If you like next time I see you around I'll send you a small source VOB to play with.

It's really unfortunate the sound lagged so badly in that video though...
Yeah, the sound lag is terrible. I'm not sure what to do about it, because the source video sounds fine.
