@carfan2k2 Wrong. Quarks are considered elementary particles. Quarks make up hadrons, the most well known being electrons, protons, and neutrons. Of course atoms are constructed of these. Since quarks are fundamental, we don't have any knowledge of what they are made of. String THEORY attempts to explain this by stating quarks are made up of vibrating strings, and these strings moving back and forth are what gives the particles characteristics, and by extension everything else in the universe.
