  • Nice job. It was nice to see the girl drop the bag. That almost NEVER happens

  • ive seen this platoon live, really awesome

  • She's hot; And also on a side note: Do they always drop the gun at that part? I've never seen a drill platoon nail that part

  • @TheRidersChoice With all of your misspellings and fracturing of proper English you are no doubt exactly what they are looking for.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone ahh damn i forgot youtube comments demand the same level of grammer as my english proffesor.

  • @TheRidersChoice No, but people might take you a little more seriously on the job, and even in your personal life, if you sounded as though you knew what you were doing when trying to communicate.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone shit i forgot youtube defines my personal life also and this was my job

  • Well Done Marines! I'm so happy some people still have respect for them... Nice videos too.

  • Despee Decore great job brothers,

  • He did a copy of the classical "drop gal and kiss her pose!!!!" That was adorable!!!

  • lol they make the flipping rifils esy people it is not !!! but tht was beautyfullll!!!

  • jkappek, the white trousers enlisted wise were traditionally only used by the silent drill dream, and now it is a rarity to see such low ranking enlisted men in white outside of ceremonial.

  • so cool, for future tapings, get the camera at a better side angle to capture her face!

  • @LesPaulWhat It actually has nothing to do with this "drill" stuff. The white pants are for the summer and the navy blue with the "blood" stripe down the side is for the fall, winter, and early spring. Both enlisted and officers get both types of pants.

  • did he lay a hanky on the ground to protect the knee of his pants?

  • Oops @ 4:48. heh

Proposal sequence starts at around 6:05.

  • Awhhhh. Sweet moves!

  • I wonder what kind of naval uniform wears the 3 olders people?

  • @eljuntamillas They are the Yacht Club people, not military

  • @LesPaulWhat The real silent drill team is its own MOS. When you're on the drill team, that is literally all you do while you are assigned there. It's not really a career-advancing billet so the members are usually switched out every year and a half to 2 years so that they don't get stuck in a dead-end MOS.

  • Not to be an ass, and I legitimatly couldn't tell, was the drop intentional? It didn't look i tbut I'm no familiar with this kind of thing...

  • @djcadanhar It wasn't intentional, but the way they play it off, it almost seems that way, doesn't it? I'm a drill team member much like these guys, and the move he performed where he dropped is extremely difficult; it's supposed to look like how it did the second time he threw it. After six years of constant drilling I still haven't been able to successfully achieve that throw, so I can definitely understand how easy it is to drop it like he did.

  • when the rifle droped whos mistake was it?

  • @TonyMajorGeneral it was the commanders fault.. he was supposed to toss it from behind his back and over his head to the marine in front of him but he made a mistake, still an amazing performance excellent precision and discipline

  • These guys are fantastic!! I saw them two years ago. Simply brilliant.

  • I love the respect the crowd has during this, even when dropping the gun they still didn't make a noise.

    Very well job Marines.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone if your enlisted then you should know better then to talk lke that, a soldier respects other soldiers and other people. you should know better.

  • Not true I myself dint go infantry no I went 6227 but if you would liek to know. I had a freind of mine score a 95 and guess what! he wnet infantry.

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! sooooo freaking adorable! :D!!!

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Just because you score high doesn't mean you still can't be infantry.

  • He missed the rifle! NOOO!!!! Still good though

  • very nicely done marine

  • @horseygal411 Spouting juvenile drivel is meaningless. It accomplishes nothing, whatsoever, except to reveal you to be a fool.

  • @useless241 Useless, indeed.

  • @caitlinkmurphy1 I already served, loser. You're a little late on your timeframe.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Exactly, I would do the same thing if I was allowed to, unfortunately women aren't allowed to be in the infantry so when I get to decide I can't choose infantry (right now I'm 15, but I will be a marine when I'm old to). I prob will score high bc I'm f'in smart. Top of my class at the moment, and a damn good athlete. Ranked in the top 20 in my regions Junior horse back rider rankings (Juniors is the top level you can compete while you're in high school). OORAH!!

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone You are one of the most ignorant recruits I've ever heard of that scored that high. Yes, they might score low on the ASVAB -- but the fact that they're infantry doesn't mean their dumb. Do you understand why America's Army is so powerful? Because our fucking Infantry HOOAH! is SMART. We run shit because we're SMARTER than other countries. Infantry has to be smart in order to be Infantry. You obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Got a 95 on my asvab and am infantry, you are retarded.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone NOT TRUE! My husband scored high enough to do almost anything job but he wanted to do infantry because that was his dream! In OSUT he was offered honor guard but turned it down because infantry was his dream. Some guys just want to fight to defend their country and don't want a different MOS, doesn't make them stupid!

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Wait, let me guess.....you were Intel?

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone I also have to disagree. My brother scored a 96 on his entrance exam, and he CHOSE infantry. And for other servicemembers who may have scored lower on the test and didn't qualify for other jobs, remember that it's infantry who is physically out in front of everyone else fighting the enemy.

  • @maketonight318 All military personnel in ALL positions work together to fight the enemy. Or has this fact somehow eluded you?

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Funny you should ask; I wondered the same thing about you when I read your derogatory comment about those in the infantry. Perhaps next time you'll remember that "all military personnel in ALL positions work together to fight the enemy" before you want to speak of the intellect of others in the military. I don't believe that one MOS is any more important than the other, but you seem to think that's the case. Why else would you say that those in the infantry are

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone "too stupid" to do something else? I think the majority of the people who responded to your original comment were attempting to make the point that an infantryman is just as important as anyone else in the military, and that not everyone takes that job because they couldn't do anything else. Props to you for being someone with enough sense of duty and courage to join the military and help in defending our country, but your sense of camaraderie seems to be lacking.

  • @maketonight318 You are right. I had a "pompous ass" moment, and my apologies to all who took offense by my inappropriate phrasing.

  • @maketonight318 Or, the truth could be that I'm just playing with your heads because it is so easy. And, when I'm momentarily bored, which is exceedingly rare, I may very well do this. You just never know.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone well good for you.. need more bragging?

  • @RNkim2010 not only drill gets white trousers, their starting to issue white trousers as a summer uniform to officers.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone totally not true.. many high scorers choose to do infantry. Not just low scorers.

  • I scored 96 afqt, with a 139 gt score, I went Marine Infantry. OOH-RAH

  • @RahDrums AFQT means Air Force Qualifying Test. Not Marines. Service in any military branch is fine, however, you seem confused.

  • @jeffersondinedalone . the backbone of the US Marines is the infantry. I could've chosen another MOS but I wanted to be in the Infantry. Douche bag pogues like you would rather sit behind a table doodling with your thumbs all day while real men go out there and protect this nation.. you make me sick.

  • @rrraberrr There is no "backbone" position for any military branch. All of the positions are neccesary, every job is required, to protect this nation or they wouldn't exist. Referring to someone as a "douche bag pogue", whatever you think that nonsense means, only serves to indicate to anyone that you have the pathetic mindset of an idiot child. As for your delusional 1940s John Wayne movie mentality, replace it with 21st century reality. Your ignorance is only surpassed by your stupidity.

  • @LesPaulWhat If it's anything like the army, it's not an MOS, just a special assignment if you make the cut.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone your an idiot, I scored higher than you and I want to do infantry, we just have more balls than you.

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone Not true. My husband has wanted to be infantry his whole life. He also scored high.

  • The Platoon was not that sharp. Drill Sergeant was way off on this return flip and also the second return flip but the troop managed to grab it. All hat and no cattle.

  • @LesPaulWhat MOS is 8152, those that do presidential guard get the white trousers and SNCO's as well

  • @nimbus089 and drill team*

  • well done marine

  • Semper Fi !!!

  • oorah!

  • @LesPaulWhat Whit pants are for dress occasions and for officers at a military sanctioned mess. Staff NCO's can still wear the dress blue white trousers until sometime in the next few years when the order that allowed them to be grandfathered ends.

  • @LesPaulWhat All of these guys are infantry / security. But this is not the big Silent Drill Platoon. Not sure what MOS they are.

  • @RNkim2010 The silent drill team is a special MOS field and individuals are selected from their specific MOS and brought out to Silent Drill

  • @RNkim2010 You don't have to be infantry or security. You just try out for it when the time comes, as long as you meet the requirements, big one is height.

  • @RNkim2010 They are 0311. White trousers are generally for Marine Barracks, Washington, DC. Although commissioned officers also wear white trousers for certain dress occasions. Blue trousers are for everyone else.

  • @LesPaulWhat Only the guys who do this "drill" stuff get the white pants. Everyone else has blue

  • @RNkim2010 also officers of the marines gets white pants as well

  • @RNkim2010 i think it goes by Rank.. Officers get white

  • @RNkim2010 not true this version called the Blue-White Dress is for SNCOs unless they are in formation with NCOs and junior enlisted personnel who are not authorized to wear the uniform, and by NCOs and junior enlisted personnel for ceremonies and social events only, if authorized and provided by the command structure

  • @RNkim2010 um no its called dress blue-white and yes the silent drill platoon gets it but it is also the summer uniform for every Marine.

  • @RNkim2010 no just drill but all officers snco and nco marines wear it for only ceremonies and social events in the summer

  • @StrykerKnights they are Marine Corps dress blues.

  • long video. the proposal comes after 6min

I so would love that proposal from my marine

  • Oo Fuckin' Rah... that's how Marines do it. YUT!

  • Those aren't civil war uniforms, their the marine corps formal blues. I'm Canadian and even I know that.

  • Why would he drop the gun on purpose ? Hmm..

  • I love the Silent Platoon :) Soo amazing! I can't wait to marry my Marine. Congrats hun :)

  • I love the Silent Platoon :) Soo amazing! I can't wait to marry my Marine. Congrats hun :)

  • It sounded like there was alot of people!

  • @Sapphire4561 I would guess there were about 300! quite the audience!

  • @RNkim2010 Wow! 300! That's alot!

  • that was g... "here take this shit... i need to handle my woman right now." lol/.

  • wow they played it off great

  • OORAH!

  • that was the neatest proposal i have ever seen... well all except the little oops, but that was played off like part of the act. good job marines, and congrats lance cpl. i apologize if i got it wrong lol

  • @SuperGwhunter you're right. he was a lance back then. and THANKS

  • PDA PDA PDA!!!!! haha its ok to do a pda i that situation though

  • when he dropped the gun ( i know its not called a gun, but idk ) it looked like it was part of the drill, was it?

she was escorted out, hehe, too cute, congrats!!!!

  • @DelaynaNicole No it was not on purpose...but they played it off well.

  • surrounded by armed men kind of makes the decision for you, but no really that is very sweet

  • this video is too long for me! i want the proposal already!!! :D

  • @kissme008aj Then skip to the end!

  • Great Video but this is not 8th and I caliber

  • Oh yes, I have awesome memories of Bangor!

  • SgtMaj Jim Daily... That should say enough right there! Bangor 92-94. Anyone else out there who experienced this period with me?

  • that was the sweetest proposal i ever seen, congrats.

  • Congrats!!! Semper Fi

  • Only 9 guys?I think we had over 20 back in my day.

  • there were 2 more that weren't performing. They all just moved there and joined.

  • was this the 8th & I platoon or was it the silent drill team from bangor subase??

  • this is the silent drill platoon from Naval Base Bangor

  • @MrUsmc8152

Good video and good job, but definitely not 8th and I.
