  • Nice, but don't you think it would be better if they were free? I mean just think of a whole ocean as their space.. but nice tank.

  • @netbattlemaster Yeah, I think that is true. Since he was born in captivity he doesn't know any better and that is his reality. It's like me being in an office all day, shouldn't I be hunting and roaming the plains???

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • nice fuckin tank dude

  • @LoverDino Wish it was mine... Maybe one day when I grow up and get a real job I'll get a tank like that.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • how do u do that

  • @ilovehorseys1234 I'm a natural born shark handler... Actually I started doing it when he was small after he jumped out of the tank so he wouldn't be freaked if I picked him up if and when he jumped again. I would hand feed him then put my other hand under his belly every few days till he got used to being held.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • nice tank very nice really

  • @TheBogmar Thanks, I wish it was mine. I would have kept the shark in that case. It is big enough to swim in while you clean it...

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • Creepy mcgee

  • COOL

  • @turtlelover2k Thanks!

  • you did the right thing :). i hate how pple think they can care for something by making use of the lack of equipment that they have. good for you :)

  • @thedirtydime Thanks. I think a fish this size needs at least a 1000 gallon or 500, and a lot of food...

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • net ?

  • @12HENSON12 He would have flipped out in the net. I don't think I could have got a net in the box. He was pretty docile and used to me picking him up. I conditioned him to it after he jumped out of the tank a couple times.

  • nice of you to give him to a bigger tank when he outgrew yours instead of keeping him all cramped up :)

  • @RoryEastwayMMA Yeah, he was just too big I felt bad for him.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • Denver says it all. Come surf with me anytime player...I'm out side my Malibu pad every morning ...and yes...again.....with real sharks. Never mind, stay in Denver, Los Angeles would eat you alive...LOL.

  • @ENTERRAPTURE20 Go Jesus urself

  • CHIDA PECERA! SOLO KE FALTO NIVELAR LA TEMPERATURA NO?? XDD

  • @arturo67965 When they drip acclimated him the temperature in the sytrofoam container equalizes the tank temperature when the water transfers from the tank.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • @gmcgee6367 HAAA OK OK! ESQUE COMO NO SE VIO COMO LO NIVELASTE ME QUEDE CON LA DUDA! GRASIAS Y SALUDOS!

  • The worst way to handle that harmless little shark is the way he did it. No reason to try and look cool and grab it, totally LAME. Come play with some real sharks with us sometime. 300 gallon and 500 gallon tanks are way to tiny for the black tips we sell. Denver could never support this market however.

  • @FishArtAquariumsinc If it's got staff like you sound's like a place to avoid.

  • @FishArtAquariumsinc How else should he do it?

  • THAT is a fish tank. It must weigh well past four tons. Have to put it in the basement.

  • @7mikethebike I know! The only good thing about that tanks is that you can swim inside it and clean it...

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • @gmcgee6367 Do you swim laps in it for exercise?

  • @gmcgee6367 i would love to shoot my pellet gun at it

  • was it acclimated first, or did you just throw him in there?

  • @3Deditor Drip acclimated for about 2 hours. He was in the box for about 30 minutes when I went to the fish store and the water was the same salinity but I was worried about PH shock.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • @gmcgee6367 That's what I was asking if it was properly acclimated to the new tank and not just from the tank you brought it from, so it wouldn't have to suffer PH shock. No point in wasting time acclimating it to the same salinity level from your own tank first. All that does is make it suffer longer in smaller confinement. In the future just take what ever specimen you've got straight to the aquarium store immediately after you place it in a bucket or bag. Most professional shops drip acclimate

  • @3Deditor That was my concern as well. The shop was 30 minutes away. That is the only one in the area with a big tank.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • @gmcgee6367 Did it survive ok? I guess that's all that matters.

  • @3Deditor Yep. It did well and it was sold to a restaurant with a 500 gallon tank about 6 months later.

  • @gmcgee6367 that's good. I owned a bamboo cat shark once in a 180 gallon. did fine, just got boring to watch it sleep during the day and only come out swimming the tank at night once the lights were off. So I sold mine back to a large aquarium shop as well. That was about 7-8 years ago and it was a little over a foot long then.

  • @3Deditor True. I would hand feed mine at night. He was pretty docile and would let me pick him up out of the tanks. He jumped a couple times so I wanted to acclimate him to being held in case he jumped again. Once in a while he would wake up during the day. He had a super good nose, one drop of blood in the water and he was ready to go.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • this is only waste of money . freshwater aquarium is better and beautiful

  • @sam28716 Not my aquarium. This is located in a fishstore called Reef n Pond in Denver, CO. I have had a lot of fresh and saltwater aquariums and once you get a saltwater aquarium set up with a protein skimmer and a wet/dry with a flow rate of about 10x per hour it is like zero maintenance.

  • Gosh, this is great. I don't want to know how much money that costs.

  • @SCRUBSiheart I purchased the shark as an egg for about 40 dollars. They are quite non-intimidating at the egg size... The egg takes about 30 days to hatch and then they grow quite rapidly. They get to almost 4 feet in length. At this size they can take off a finger. I held him almost every day so he was pretty docile. I decided to let him get used to me holding him after he jumped out of the tank a couple times.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • My absolute dream tank!

  • @fearsrelax I know, I want one too. I think I would go for a little more rock in the back and a little higher in tank circulation.

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • @gmcgee6367 I completely agree with you!

  • omg nice

  • sharks like "IM FREEEEEEEE.....OWH!"

  • @Justzac94 Yeah, it bummed me out when he hit the side... I checked on him every couple weeks till they sold him to a guy with a 300 gallon tank.

  • @gmcgee6367 NASTY

  • baby, I like the sharks!! but I cannot seize it ñ_ñ....

    Lupita : )

  • @TheGenesisGod Thanks, that shark was cool because he would eat out of your hand.
