The founding fathers didn't have a political spectrum. This is the John Birch Society, they're obsessed with demonizing communism to the point where any form of social infrastructure is basically communism. They also believe that all liberals are secretly communist and need to be destroyed by authoritarian might. Their spectrum was made to try and rewrite history demonizing the left for everything that has happened throughout history, They also only want rich white men to vote.
I nearly choked when he said that America's founders had the answers to today's problems. It reminds me of Christians, who believe the same about their bible. Both claims are pure nonsense, of course.
It's also nonsense the way people cherry pick the founders' views to support their own. Jefferson said "the earth belongs to the living," but today's "constitutionalists" conveniently overlook that.
Such people tend not to have their own ideas, but become experts at analyzing & promoting others'.
vktrsx, you are free to believe what you like, but the evidence is clear to me that if we hadn't drifted from the principles set forth in the constitution by the founders, we wouldn't have the serious problem we have today. If we could get back to those principles, if it's not already to late, we could begin to return to the conditions that brought us the greatest freedom and societal development in the history of earth. Todays problems are largely the result of Violating these principles.
I don't think you can say that you are offering anything new. However, you are wrong about the political system these days. The "Republican" party is now the "Me Me Me" party and the "Democratic" party is the "We the People" party. Sorry to burst your bubble. If you are greedy, selfish, and think that you can legislate morality... then you are Republican. If you think "We the people" need to work together for the betterment of us all ... You are a Democrat.
I don't recall anything being said about Republican or Democrat. The issue is, "are we following the Constitution". Both parties are violating the principles set forth in the Constitution, resulting in a loss of freedom. Democrats claim to be the party of the the people, but they have kept the poor people poor by creating a society that is dependent on government hand-outs funded by the productive element in society. They have no incentive to produce wealth.
We the people need not forsake liberty and follow some iconic utopian fool in order to work together. The creative minds of a free people will always yield better ideas and results than entrenched bureaucrats and narcissist leaders.

The spectrum needs a lot more detail to it, though what they've said is right (in my opinion).

This isn't a good spectrum either. I suggest looking at brainpolice2's video on this and its response.

You have a point, there. Especially about people cherry-picking the founders' comments.
It's fallacious to say that the founding fathers had solutions to most of today's problems, given that they didn't even know what they are.
