  • WHO by the way is the daughter of Peter Davison (a previous Dr Who)?!

  • what has this got to do with anything

  • It's an incorrect interpretation of events, but an awesome clip!

  • you spelled Russell T. Davis wrong

  • @they65 lol true story.

  • you spelled colin baker wrong

  • Wow. Tennant really let himself go in that last season.

  • Christopher Eccelston left on his on accord to not be type-cast as Doctor who and David left to join the Royal Shakespeare Company, he wanted to do plays.

  • actually david wanted to leave, he didnt want to overstay his welcome he said. its sad because he was my favorite doctor

  • *The Doctor is regenerating*

The Tenth Doctor: "But I am not finished!"

The Eleventh doctor: "Oh yes you are!"

  • More like what they did to Christopher Eccelston... Because they wanted David Tennant from the start and filmed the entire first season planning to kick Eccelston off the whole time

  • @ThatBritishVlogger actually, chris was first choice for davies, he got canned by BBc before tennant even met davies, not even thinking of getting the role

  • I was half expecting him to say "I don't want to go."

  • Thats how I hope my retirement party goes.

  • Totally how I imagine it went :)

  • @TheRandyChimp except he chose to leave. He announced it after a performance of.. I believe it was Hamlet. RTD decided to leave shortly after.

  • @StenDarker except it's a joke video, not to be taken seriously.

  • @TheRandyChimp true. Imagining Tennant did not leave voluntarily makes this hilarious. Unfortunately, knowledge of the truth tempers that, somewhat. I don't object to the video, or your comment, I just felt the need to make sure you knew how it actually went down in case you didn't already

  • @StenDarker Bet he's regretting leaving now though. I've heard nearly nothing from him since. I enjoyed Fright Night, but it bombed.

  • Thing David Tennant did get married. To the Doctors Daughter! The Ultimate fan boy.

  • @floooooooooooooooood I'm pretty sure that's incest...

  • Because David Tennant didn't say that the show was for lack of better word getting tedious.

  • vulture capatalisim at its best thank you mr burns the 1%

  • however you feel about Tennant and Smith, you gotta see that this is pretty funny.

  • @draculon5 Not really it didn't make sense David has a carrer/quit. If it made sense yes it would be but it didn't so in my opinion its not that funny.

  • But he doesnt wanna go.

  • Come on people! Learn to take a joke!

  • and david was voted best doctor who ever!

  • Yeah, except David left the show of his own accord. If I remember correctly he said it was starting to feel like a job to him and he didn't want to end his time on the show like that.

  • what episode is this?

  • I actually got a big laugh out of this even though Tennant is my favorite doctor.

  • Pfft, lool!

Why so many dislikes, it's just a joke...

  • Cheap regard for excellent acting...not impressed.

  • Stop being whinny b***hes! Its a joke, calm down!

  • Oh come on people, I love Tennant though laughed at this. Matt Smith makes a great Doctor, as well as everyone before him. And Burns is defenitely the Master, he later regenerates into Smithers xD

  • You should have added audio of him saying "I don't wanna go!"

  • what are the blue text with underline mean and how

  • David Tennant stood down on his own free will, Matt Smith is the Doctor now, move on, get over it!

Even the Show makes a point of it, When Matt Smith quotes Tennant in "The Almost People", he says "We've moved on."

That was a "Take That" to videos like this.

The clip in the Simpsons is still funny though. X3

  • @babclayman1 Yeah, he did. He even said something along the lines of "If I don't quit evantually they'll have to wheel me out in a wheelchair" or something. If he didn't quit evantually he never woul dhave left xD

  • Definetly not how David Tennant left...

  • love it

  • I'm liking this because 343 people don't get a joke.

  • @Jameswaterslive didn't get the joke =/= "I don't really think this is funny"

  • Ah, Vintage Simpsons. Got to love it.

  • But tennant left voluntarily

  • @deathman1021 *clap*clap*clap*. Well done, you cracked the case!

  • Mr Burns is The Master.

  • @borgduck No, he's Davros.

  • ... i dont get it :(

  • While the chose was ultimately Tennant's, this video is amusing. I liked it.

  • David: I'm not finished!

    BBC: Oh yes you are!

    Lol

  • 266 people hate the simsons... and doctor who...

  • I don't get it?

  • @kikisb101 There saying that David Tennant was axed from Doctor Who against his will. In reality, he quit, but it was funny anyway. People who think this is unfunny are either (A) super David T fans (I am, and I found it funny) or (B) dont get jokes. I'm not saying you are of course, just people who say it unfunny rather than not getting it.

  • But Tennant did get married. To the actress who played The Doctors daughter

  • @cyberman234 He's married to Georgia Moffett who is coinsidently the daughter of the 4th Doctor Tom Baker, and they have a child. Hopefully, Doctor Who runs though the family so we will be seeing a litle Tennant playing as the next doctor.

  • @TheAfroThunder1 (georgia moffett is peter davison's daughter, not tom bakers)

  • @imamadmad1 Good point.

  • @TheAfroThunder1 I thought she was Peter davison's daughter

  • @leothelion19 She is, I misspoke.

  • @cyberman234 Who was also the daughter of one of the older Doctors :D

  • you stole darth vaders light saber

  • ouch I got it :(

  • oh! now i get it hahaha XD

  • i suppose mr burns is steven moffat

  • lol

  • This would probaly work better if it used Colin Baker, who was actually fired.

  • @Blarvtooth1 agreed

  • @Blarvtooth1 Seems more appropriate. Tennant did quit on his own free will.

  • @Blarvtooth1 why was Colin Baker fired

  • @theburningcreeper It was a variety of reasons. BBC Management wanted to "refresh" the show, BBC1 Controller Michael Grade didn't like Colin Baker's performance, and the Head of Series was looking for someone who would connect better with the public, apparently. It was mostly politics though, as the BBC head at the time hated Doctor Who and was looking for any way he could to destroy it.

  • @Blarvtooth1 Which one is colin baker?

  • @MrTrliby He played the 6th doctor, and was fired after only about 2 seasons.

  • @MrTrliby Colin Baker was the 6Th doctor back in the 1980s

  • You know he has a wife and child (Whos alive)?

  • I think that I am starting hate Matt Groening

  • FUCK YOU STEVNE MOFFAT FOR FORCING DT OUT

  • @philyburkhill1 Wtf? David CHOSE to leave. It was his own decision.

  • note: its a joke.

  • ????

  • oh you people, it's funny...just laugh and carry on.

  • @mellloife18 Look, honey, I realize you were trying to be funny, but that's so many kinds of inaccurate it just isn't.

  • i'd love to have think that actually happened

  • Oh, absolutely ...... that's why Steven Moffat tried to persuade D.T. to stay on & why an early draft of "The Eleventh Hour" featured the Tenth Doctor. (Presumably with a different title ....)

Anyhoo,a funny Simpsons clip that bears no relation to D.T.'s situation. So please much more effort the next time .......

  • @DerekTheHoly Lighten up, it was just a joke.

  • Some people take this way too seriously haha. I can't believe the David Tennant fangirls STILL defend him at any sort of joke about him.

  • @dogpup4 lol I know. Its called being sad and horny. Close the door on your way out David Matts show now

  • @TimelordTVRevolution just because i and many other fangirls like and defend tennant doesn't mean we can't like matt too!

  • @imamadmad1 I was jokeing. But [out of intrest] what would you be defendeding DT agaist? He [like us] loves Dr Who and is a big fan of Matt Smith and Steven Moffat. So whats to defend? Surely you only defend some one when they r beaten up? And Matt is a big fan of David as David is Matt. All happy familys. No defendeding needed

  • @TimelordTVRevolution i mean from the haters who hate on people like david. anyway, the defense bit was mentioned in the comment you replied to to start this discussion. but the main point still stands; fangirls can love david and still like matt, which is what you were implying.

  • @imamadmad1 If i could give this more than one thumbs up I would. I also love your name :)

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! IM IN STITCHES XP

  • That's how it SHOULD have been. I liked his line about "if I didn't leave now, they'd have to roll me out of the TARDIS in a wheelchair" or somesuch... I don't think ANYBODY would've complained about that!

  • "I don't wanna go!"

  • ...I didn't get it

  • @WhitneyWombat

    ...I didn't get it ?

  • hahahahaha

  • David tennant wanted to leave, he left because he didnt want people to get tired of him, didnt want to stay to long, but i wanted 1 more season :'(

  • @MissAchiever so if he shoots himself... will he regenerate? or end up in limbo? (in inception)

  • muahahah

  • I hope this is what happens to my High school coordinator......

  • Well, I think this was very funny, and it's a pity that so many are giving you abuse for this.

  • love this video. what's a doctor who?

  • @ripelivejam Ha! I don't care if you're not joking that's funny!

  • haha! awww...lol!!

  • David Tennant's Doctor was too normal, smith has captured the doctor far better than tennant ever did.

  • @martinrobo123 I think that yes although Smith has captured the alien-ness of The Doctor well David has the emotion the power and the oh so very alien humanity

  • The point of being alien is that he doesn't have humanity, and if you look at him, he was too normal a bloke, that's why in my opinion he isn't a fantastic doctor. The most alien like baker and smith work is that they are larger than life.

  • ha hahait's a little funny

  • What is it with all the dislikes? It's just a joke! :P

  • @TheWildSack Doesn't mean it's a funny joke.

  • @TheWildSack The problem is that they begged Tenant to stay and he chose to leave. Therefore this isn't exactly comparable.

  • @Kruezoraxe But he left because he loved it so much yet didn't want to end up like this (or at least thats what he says)

  • LMFAO

  • He isnt David Tennant.

  • @priamyvate STFU david tennent was one of the best doctors in history

  • @StupidAlarm I agree, but at least take the time to spell his name correctly--it's even in the title of this video.

  • assholes!

  • @priamyvate Are you trolling there?

  • @sternbergzookie Its my opinion

  • 112 people can't take a joke.

  • @Kaizerworks Update your comment.

  • @Kaizerworks 56 people have no sense of humour.

  • @Kaizerworks More like 267 people... I thought it was funny.

  • @Kaizerworks More like 279

  • @TheAfroThunder1 more like 306...

  • @TheCRChannel More like 311...

  • @Kaizerworks see what happens when people see DOCTOR WHO (us edition)

    XD

    daleks take over .

    D'liks: 289 (DALEKS, lol)

  • that was piss your pants funny

  • Great gag. Tennant himself would love it because it clicks into the 10th's Doc's last lines: "I dont' wanna go!"

  • True that

  • More like charlie sheens rap party

  • @Johntherabbit24 How dare you.

  • More like Colin Baker.

  • too many dislikes

  • Ahhh, I think you mean 'wrap' party. This was funny in the simpsons.

  • i don't get it can someone explain it to me please lol

  • @TraceurHarryG1 The joke is that the BBC forced a retirement on David from playing Doctor Who and throws him out unceremoniously. Out with the old and in with the new. Of course this was not the case in real life.

  • i get it but its not funny

  • lol XD im a david tennant fan and i totaly get that joak thats realy funny XD

  • Mean while in real life, David is happily married to the daughter of the fifth Doctor, who also played the tenth doctor's daughter as well.

  • @qwertyuiop12525 Actually, they're engaged. They're due to be married in the spring. They do have a baby, though. And that baby is going to grow into one of the most awesome people the world has ever seen :P

  • @qwertyuiop12525

    sounds like a time paradox

  • Steve Jobs

  • Fuck this

  • are you kidding they LOVED david! and so did the fangirls! It was david's choice to leave not BBC's. They wanted DT

  • @QueenBonesofdarkness yeah of course... he left because he wanted to broaden his horizons and challenge himself in the acting world :D

  • @QueenBonesofdarkness It was the writing, not David. He didn't want to leave either -- in fact, they /extended/ Ten's life so he could do a few more episodes.

  • @QueenBonesofdarkness it's still kinda funny XDD

  • What?

  • Aw poor David...lol
