Marty always was a fighter. Even in 2011, despite what these fucking writers did. But I gotta hand it to them for making Todd a good guy when they did. He's not the S.O.B. he was before all this.
I absolutely love RH (Todd). Some people don't understand, but he is sheer creativity, I mean this guy took daytime TV and turned it into primetime, his talent is the greatest, he is a genius. What they don't seem to understand is that Roger created Todd the rapist, but Roger himself isn't an actual rapist, but that's just how talented he is though...I LOVE YOU ROGER...you really outdid yourself when you took this role on...kudos to you. I think you're the GREATEST!!! Very sexy too, might I add?
I am confused. I only started watching OLTL recently and Todd always seems so ashamed that he raped Marty but in these scenes he shows no remorse whatsoever!
@JasamTragicLove omg, i grew up watching this show and this is the todd i remember! the actor did such a damn good job at playing this part, that when he changed after and became "nicer", two things stuck out in my mind, #1 at how the show was going to make a monster as we see in this video into a nice guy and # 2 at how good of an actor he was to make the viewers actually believe that he could change, and he accomplished that.
@JasamTragicLove You should look up Todd Manning part 1 and just keep watching. There are over 800 clips that explain over 4 years of Todd's story starting immediately after the rape. You can start just before the rape if you look up OLTL 1993 Spring Fling and watch Marty and Todd Argue, Kevin Takes Marty To His Frat Room, The Rape, and After The Rape before you start watching part 1. Part 525, 526 & 527 greatly summarize how Todd evolved over time. Check them out, you won't be sorry.
Dang, this Todd is SCARY!!!! I can't believe they actually rehabilitated this character. Then again, they rehabilitated Luke and he was a rapist too.
@aks477578 Difference is Todd will NEVER forgive himself for the monster he was, he still refers to himself as a rapist. To me it's what sets Todd Manning apart from Luke Spencer/ Roger Thorpe/ Jack Deveraux, etc he still carries the guilt and shame of his acts with him.- or some would say it haunts him even without Marty in Llanview. It's also what makes his relationship with Blair unique in that she herself is the product of rape and yet she was able to see the good in him .
have you noticed his voice changes this one it sounds like he's really lost his mind :)
