Nice. SONIC SEZ FTW!! So nostagic of the days almost every cartoon on TV was great. Sadly in my opinion, those days are gone now, but todays cartoons like Brandy & Mr. Whiskers are a great reminders of what great cartoons are all about. Thanks for the Brandy & Mr. Whiskers uploads. ;-)

Thank you, and yes I'm happy that some cartoons actually are STILL good. Quite a shame of what has happened to Cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and ESPECIALLY Disney. *Tch* NOW CN wants to get rid of Chowder for some new reality bullcrap shows. And on top of that, no more cartoons and the network will be renamed. :(

I agree with you on the Cartoon Network nonsense. That's a real shame. Whatever happened to good shows like Cartoon Planet, and Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc? Yeah, that's the problem with too many cartoon nowdays. They are trying to get kids to grow up too fast, and I think they are even slowly, but surely taking away some of the comic appeal in Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents. Somebody needs to come with a whole new network dedicated to great new AND classic cartooons. ;-)

I would suggest Boomerang, but then again Boomerang sucks balls. You never get to see what you actually want to see because they get shown at the stupidest time periods. Also, it's not Basic, how do they expect to get ratings and show Cartoon Cartoons on such a crappy Network? It sucks, I have basic, and now they are showing The New Woody Woodpecker which is NOT new, it was originally aired in Fox Kids which is also gone. WTF. Funny thing is that Disney owns ABC Family and ABC which NOW SUCK .

I know what you mean, the Nicktoons Network channel was meant to air all the old shows as well as the present-day ones, but they've replaced all of them with even worse crap than what's on the main channel; like Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Speed Racer: Next Generation, etc. No one wants to watch any of that! It makes me sick.

Sorry for the late response on your question. By comic appeal, yeah, I basically mean funniness. Yes, I do think that most of the new cartoons are trying to get kids to grow up too fast. I mean, just look at Total Drama Island. There's cartoons like that or similar on every channel it seems. When I was growing up, cartoons like that didn't exist on daytime television on every channel. I want to see anvils dropping on heads funny-style, not adult-like relationship drama soap operas.

I know it's not a cartoon, but wouldn't it be a show series that is also making kids grow up too fast? I'm 16 now, and I like that show, but it's never my MAIN show to WATCH. I wonder why people are trying to get kids to grow up so fast, these days. 00- That's what I'm confused about.

I'm 25 nearing 26 now, and I have younger brothers around your age that I talk about this stuff with all the time, so I guess I can help you out with this. In perhaps SOME aspects, you could say that iCarly is making kids grow up too fast, but I think at the same time, it has enough humor for the kiddies to where it's still watchable and doesn't go over the top. Can't say the same for most other shows. I think it's a decent show myself, so don't feel ashamed if you think it's good.

At the same time, I do agree with you that the iCarly episodes as of late have gotten too drama oriented and less about the comedy, and that ticks me off that so often the few goods shows you see now end up going to crap by getting away from the comedies they should be. Now don't get me wrong, shows that were trying to get kids to grow up too fast did exist when I was a kid, they were just A LOT LESS prevelant than they are now.

I think the reason they are trying to get kids to grow up too fast is because Hollywood has a sick agenda they've been building up for years, but way too many people were, and still are aware of things they've been hiding behind the scenes. Not all people in Hollywood are this way, which is the only reason you see if any good shows still on TV today. Unfortunately, much of today's culture is being dumbed down to think today's garage is great television.

@Tonloc1986, I had no idea that even epic cartoons in the past, tried to get kids to grow up too fast, as well. My fave nicktoons of all time in the past were: Catdog, Rugrats, and some other nicktoons. Catdog is so hilarious. :D Yeah, I guess icarly's heading for less ratings as well, I guess.

Yep. I remember all them. Seen every episode of those shows. Freakazoid was awesome too!There are very few cartoons I still watch today. Have you heard of Chowder? That's a cartoon that's pretty good. I even find a bit of enjoyment in Phineas and Ferb, because from time to time, you see some of the old cartoon humor in that show. Without cartoons like that, they will continue to lose ratings. Maybe that will force them to wake up and birng some old that old appeal back. ;-)
