@chyitaria that is great and I did receive it. It usually takes me a few days to respond because of work, kids and volume combined with only having my ph during the day. But I always respond.
@chyitaria I haven't been on youtube all week *grumbling* and see your video just made me smile. I think you will enjoy a freeform journey and your locs look great.
i may try bantus again soon... you always do so well on your hair. i'm struggling with mine right now, but it's cool because i know it will pass. and lol @ sausagey :)
@KLMitch129 The beaded string is actually a Tomoka twist. I can't put a link in the comments but if you do a search it's pop up. Mimi's twists are so easy to use and much prettier than even her photos show. I have two and plan to have many more.
my dear friend, I really need you to tell me where to buy setting lotion. I never heard of it until this video, and I think I could really use it on my dreadlocks. By the way your hair turned out Awesome!
@pbg98pbgpbg98pbg Any beauty supply will have setting lotions or setting foams to set curls. I prefer foam as it's less mess. I love Taliha wajid's crinkles and curls but there are many brands available. When I used to palm roll I often used a foam instead of a gel.
Love the way your hair turned out. I did this style on my hair and it didn't turn out so well and I think because I didn't use any product on my hair I basically just used water.
@tresy177 it will set with water only but you need to wear the knots for a few days. My problem was always getting the ends to curl too but with practice you'll get it :)
Very cute! I find bantu knots (or chinny bumps we called them when I grew up) are really good for my locks, not that I've cut them. I've never seen a Tomoka twist, it's gorgeous, will try and get one. Thank you quotidianlight.
When you came on with your free style locks thought that looks perfect! Your methods are working so well for you--just beautiful! I'm too tender headed for any of these setting methods so far.
@CherishMyDaughter I am actually extremely tender headed to the point I can only wear a LOOSE ponytail for a couple hours. Try the large knots. I made them loose and they were much more comfortable than other sets that way. I think the size distributed the pressure differently. Still not painless but not unbearable either.
@MsOnly3 it's called a Tomoka twist. I have two and adore them. They were invented by someone in the loc community and i highly recommend them. No links in comments but they show up in google and i have an old review on my site.
MANY THANKS for the three strand twists tutorial!!! I just tried it on my babylocs and got it right the first time;O))
