You must have no idea as to what you are talking about, because at my previous/current school, we do all our video editing, image editing, compositing, and character animation on macs. They are wonderful machines, and they did our work very nicely. Im sorry if you believe that I am "in denial", but we only used macs for professional work.

Especially Graphic Design when you need a color corrected monitor which most PCs will not have straight out of the box. The reason why Mac costs so much more, is because they come with pre-installed software, like: Microsoft Office, Garage Band, Logic 9, iMovie, iChat, etc...

Well if you have one of the latest macbooks with 4 gigs of ram it might be better to get windows 7 when it comes out. it will take better advantage of the resources your machine might have... For example DX 11 will have cleaner code witch will schedule events to run smoothly run on your machine compared to Windows XP DX 9 witch is not even aware of 4 gigs...

Hey SoldierKowsBest, what version of windows are you using? I tried fucking windows vista and I had so many fucking computability issues. When I ran Vista I had my sound cracking and popping every minute or so and the fps would just drop. I spent hours figuring out wtf is up but vista just doesn't seem to work on aluminum macbook pro. I had intel compatibility issues, video drivers issues, sound is fucked up. Vista is such pile of shit.

Macs have better sounds cards, we acctually have HD sounds quality, unlike yours that's why macs are better for music, we also have better operating system which every artist in the world uses, OSX has better 64bit support, good luck making your vista work with 16 or 32 gb of ram.
