A 5.8? You do not know a good "camp" fest when you see one. I don't care how old you were when you made this, some one should have made sure you knew what a GOOD campy movie is all about. This movie is at least a 8 or 9 BECAUSE of its cheese factor. Study your history and do an up-dated review to this. Give it a second chance and watch it again after you do your homework. Watch some of the show then watch this again. Trust me if you like GREAT cheese, you'll find the spot for this.
You, young sir, are clueless. You are truly wandering in the dark in your comments. And your phrase "over-exaggerating" is redundant and stupid. Stick to reviewing Justin Bieber and Twilight movies, things you most likely know MUCH more about!
I got dragged into the 60s Batman a few weeks ago when my dad was saying that he felt it was a great show. And when I found his movie, I loved it, I thought it was absolutely hilarious and enjoyable.
I was actually hoping for a review, some kind of critical examination. Instead, I got some lame kid who doesn't know what he is talking about, with his inane opinions. He makes himself look so dumb and stupid, I'm surprised he doesn't take down this video. Maybe he should 'review' a paper clip, or a pet rock, something more up his alley. Or maybe he should 'review' the English language, looks like he needs a refresher course, if he even graduated high school. F- on this 'opinion' video.
this kid is full of shit if he grew up in the 70s he woulve apreciate this more! this is the cooest thing we had then! now days fucken teenagers r too damned sploiled to enjoy stuff like this!
Apparently, little dumbasses who think using the word "fuck" makes them cool don't like the 60s Batman. How surprising. This is a good example of what happens when teenagers discover the idea of cynicism and think it's for them, but don't have the life experience or vocabulary to back it up. What you're saying is wrong with the '66 movie is actually wrong with the idea of Batman and every incarnation of it. What the 60s incarnation did was inject a sense of irony it desperately needed.
Wow... you REALLY missed the point of this movie! The diagloue and story are meant to be stupid. The film is ironic, its funny. You really could not have had a worse understanding! At no point was this film meant to be in anyway serious! I really can't believe that as a 'movie critic' (an amature film critic, by the looks of it, as you really don't understand this movie!) you would just look at the surface of this movie, and not look at the large amount of underlying, and also obvious comedy.
but the real roots of Batman are from the comics from the 30s and 40s, not the 60s show....unfortunatley the 60s show was the first major adaption of Batman on screen and it wasn't until Burton's films over 30 years later to give the super hero justice in the public eye
actually, the ORIGINAL batman comics were from the 20's. there was a show in the 20's, so you know the comics couldn't have come out till just before the show.
-They say Americans have no sense of humo(u)r,....or irony.....and take themselves too seriously.....and they,re right. You wanted a darker, grittier Batman?! -What next? a darker, grittier Santa? -This movie (and show) show how much America has lost it since.
5.8 out of ten is nice. Christian Bale's Batman makes sense, you need a bullet proof outfit that scares the living hell out of criminals that come out at night, and something that glides from building to building isn't so bad either.
But why the hell does the Batman in Batman the Movie dress up like a blue bat and run around with what looks like his young boyfriend in the middle of the day? Spandex won't protect them from bullets not that the criminals in this movie use anything deadly.
Its not stoner comedy, its meant to be way over the top and stupid, thats the humor. But if it isn't funny for you, then me explaining the humor won't make it funny. But watch it again and think about what they were going for.
This is a classic movie, you don't need to be on drugs. This is a throwback to the classic camp Batman style, if you are a Batman fan or just enjoy a fun movie this is the way to go. The style of the show/movie was to be campy and set towards kids. Those who grew up with this experience love it, I love it, kids now love it. You have to have a certain respect for the time frame as well. The new movies much more what Batman should be, but this is just pure fun Dynamic Duo.
no ideal, in those years the cinema was in the years of merchadising, xd, I grow whit this movie, since a kid, later whit tim burton films, schumacher films, chris nolan films, etc, really I enjoy all the batman films, read my post comments on robocop 2 ending are great.

Dude. It was a fucking COMIC. Do you even know what that word means?

Each batman movie reflects batman at the time when it was made. In the 60's batman was cheezy and kid friendly. If you ever read a batman comic from the 60's they match the movie in its look and cheezeness. Adam west rocks.
You just couldn't take it seriously? It's not meant to be serious. It's a comedy. I first watched it as a kid and thought it was a comedy too...then I saw it in my 20's and realized it was a comedy. You look about 15 so you're probably still a few years away from getting it.
dude.... it's a comedy. even then the humor was supposed to have the cheesy, stereotypical 60's values. and it's meant to appear rediculous and random. learn some shite about the movie before you bash it, dude.
Stoner comedy ... yeah, that pretty much sums it up for me. But c'mon, don't pretend you don't know Robin's name! You know it's not Wonderboy. Admit it!
In my area when the Tim Burton version came out, some theaters put this 1966 movie on. The old version wasn't serious, but the whole family could watch it. YOur review was a little confusing. It's like you contradict yourself and couldn't make up your mind. You could have just said it was a family friendy cartoon with live people.
Kid..you have no clue. This movie is a campy classic. The original TV series had little humor..and the makers of the movie purposely created a wonderful self-mockery. It was genius and lol funny. "Some days you just can't get rid of a bomb!"
In the original comic book(1930), it was dark and violent, Batman KILLED people in cold blood. then due to some whacked out doctor who thought comics were sacraligous, he wrote a book, causing the comic book code to be created around the 1950's, Batman could no longer be that way, so they made it colerful and campy, and also established Batwoman(NOT BATGIRL!!!) into the comics because there was a supposed Homosexual innuendo in there.

Immature? Wow - pot calling the kettle black much?
Swear more in your reviews.
It gives you credibility.
Get over yourself, kid. The movie was never meant to be taken seriously. If you think it was, you missed something.
Also, stop being a homophobe?
Personally, I loved this movie - it made me laugh, it made me cringe - but it's so memorable!
To each his own as far as your feelings about it - but realize what you're reviewing before you go and bash it.
