Music is alive and well, where did it go? I know arcade Fire from there last two albums, but Suburbs doesn't really sound like the other 2. The Suburbs reminds me of The Wall for some reason, maybe its the subject matter and how all the songs transition into one another, plus the album has a theme that is prevalent throughout the record, it's the best thing I've heard in over ten years.

They didn't headline Reading and Leeds for nothing and yet people in work had never heard of them although my son had seen them at reading the year before where they were second up. The don't sell out to advertising and are just into music and, of course, Regine's homeland of Haiti. Saw "The Box " with Cameron Diaz the other day and was amazed to see Win and Regine as the composers of the soundtrack. What talent the have. The Box was good. Check it out!!

@TEHEmmie okay so we now judge how good a music act is by your families knowledge and opinion, give over. a couple of years ago it would have gone to the script but they now have some shred of credibility and appreciation to music baring the award for bieber. And just because a music act is more commercially succesful than another band doesn't make them automatically deserve the award over more credible, talented & technical acts like arcade fire as shown in this performance. @TEHEmmie Actually I think their last album 'The Suburbs' deservedly got number one on the UK album charts. You should go around youtube and have a listen to some stuff such as Keep the Car Running, Wake Up or Rebellion (These make decent starting points). If your debate is that they don't deserve the award as your family doesn't know them then that's foolish. It's a fantastic album, with genuine talent and great songwriting, get it if you get a chance and you should see that they deserve it.

@TEHEmmie So sorry if some fans are a little bit defensive right now. Since they won their grammy, many attacked them on numorous chat sites. That was actually pretty predictable.

I was introduced to them through a sports show called the Dan Patrick show no less. If you ever get a chance to see them live, don't hesitate. Their energy and presence reminded me of the great U2 and REM shows of the 80's.

They're definately a band that grows on you, so listen to the whole album if you can.

An extremely talented group of individuals who all love to be involved and still love playing their songs live - their enthusiasm is infectious. Their audiences are teens through to the "silvers" and this is extremely difficult to pull off but these guys have done it and I completely get why. I have to say I didn't expect to love a "newer" band as much as U2 but am delighted that they are here - can't wait for EdinburgH Castle! I love all 3 girls too!!!! ;-)
