i didnt say edge was a guitar god or any good he just makes good use of effects which actually is easier to make crap riffs sound like more than they are. all the effects in the world cant make you a good guitarist, it just makes what you do sound more complex. aits not the second coming of Christ, its nothing new other than a fancy effect unit built into his guitar. . Matt can play, but then again so can anyone else who learns scales and theory. strip away his gizmo and hes average.

Or a few albums back Citizen Erased (they weren't rich back then, not that many special effects?) I listen to Rush and Matt's skill doesn't hold a candle to Lifeson, but he makes his own music, it's creative, it's HIS, and that's the point.

I basically don't see the point of saying how "avg" Matt's skills are on this video. B/c then everyone is overated.

He plays great but there are others that play much better.
