  • The hoof is like your finger nail without nerve endings. Trimming the horn does not hurt the horse.

  • does it hurt what you were doing with the tong?

  • damn it poor mare! My friend's mare got that same thing... took a while to heal... :/

  • horse looks more than just absessed might even have chronic laminitis or founder..you are very very right in taking the heels down and you could have taken them off a little more to alleviate the toe if she is a rotated founder which im seeing...could also float the toe and roll it up from the apex of the frog to stop the "pigment change" which is mostly caused by the coffin bone rotating toward the sole..but yes very very correct in taking the pressure off the wall it is needed for these horses

  • um..?? does it really hurt the horse to much or..does it not care???

  • @hermitcrabgurl101 Does it hurt you to clip your nails?

  • @FoochaChan supposedly no more than it'd hurt for you to cut your finger or toe nails. Thought it might be possible to cut the hoof a little too much and get a less than polite response from the horse.......

  • @hermitcrabgurl101 An abscess can cause pain to the horse until it ruptures, just like something festered/infected underneath your fingernail. Once the pressure is relieved, the horse feels relieif from the pain too.

  • hooves don't look good

  • ok lol, I was confused because the opening of the video says quarter horse lol

  • lol i ride a quarter horse mare named phoenix :)

  • thats an appolousa?

  • @holly2799 yes its an appaloosa

  • @holly2799 Smiles, :)

  • @holly2799 quarter horses can be born spotted and once they are their either registered as American paint horse, or appaloosa horse kinda confusing but an appaloosa is just a qh or another breed? with spots same horse different color so yes it is a qh and a appaloosa

  • @misty159159 Thats wierd, I didnt know that. So if someone has a piebald/skewbald quarter horse it could also be a paint horse......Kinda cool though, you could tell people you have two horses in one hahaha!!
