  • i have a small music mixer could i use it instead of the kinda mixer you are using

  • Hey I got a question... When recording two people or more in a dialogue and two mics have been used would they be recorded as a mono signal to be later edited? and what if you need three mics. I think I just need two, for safety. Also any tips on noisy cameras??

  • Why $1800 price tag? For four channels only, just because it runs on batteries? I got two Behringers which are 16 channels, for $100 each! Anywho, don't get me wrong, I got Sony DMX-P01, the only digital portable mixer that I am aware of, which has AES/EBU, so I understood the high price tag. I also like the new Fostex FM-4 cool OLED, and good looking overal desigh. But for this Wendt $1800? You gotta be joking.

  • Why do people who are so inarticulate about technology and are such poor communicators feel so compelled to create these sorts of videos? This was way to vague for a layman "uh, if it's too loud, use this attenuator here" and absolutely pointless for a professional.

  • If it mixes it down to two channels out, how would you mix multiple radio mics? what would you do if yoyu are doing reality TV, sending two channels audio to camera, and somehow need to mix 2 or 3 or even 4 radios mics and a boom? would you mix all radios in one channel and leave the other channel for boom?

  • @mkttkk For purposes such as that of which you just described you have larger mixers with more output options.

  • Yeah hoop-a-loop!!!! i didnt actually listen to any of this but im stoked to see you on youtube!!!! man we gotta get haanz and ivan on here man! its ben by the way if u didnt get that.. ahaha

  • Nice, thanks.

  • Hi. Just wondering if you are able to plug this device into audio mixer boards so if you have more than just two microphones you can do still do the same thing! Also if possible how would you go about doing this! How long would the longs cable be that you could get? Also if you connect this device to a camera and sound mixer how do you record all the tracks!

  • Question 1#:

The mixer I was showing has 4 mic chanels already, so if you needed more than 4 mics you would either use a bigger mixer or you could run the 2 audio outs (line level) of this mixer into two audio ins of another mixer.

    Question #2

You could get pretty much get as far as you want with an XLR cable ( worse comes to worse connect multiple together ) This device (and most do) send a balanced line level across a balanced XLR cable which offers pretty much flawless noise rejection.

  • Question #3

You could record right to the camera, or a common set-up for bigger shoot would be to get an external recorder.. That would just do just that, record all your tracks.. If that is the way you want to go, you would have to sync up the Audio Timecode with the Video Timecode.. Using "free run timecode" and starting them at the same time...

  • For those studying for PASE Exams, here's a couple things I skipped:

    - Ensure your camera input switch is set to MIC

    - Ensure that your camera ch. 1 & 2 select is set to input 1 & input 2 respectively

    - You can adjust the filter switch at the front ( 20, 100, 140 ) for less to more background ambience removing (Low frequencies)

    - Most Shotgun mics have an on/off switch on the mic itself

    - Ensure Ganged faders are off. ( set to Unganged )

    - Turn up the Monitor volume on the side of your mixer
