There's also a clip of her singing "The Lady is a Tramp" with Tony Bennett. I seriously thought she was a professional jazz singer when I heard it. It's really an amazing performance. As the name indicates, 'pop' music and pop art are expressions of what you might call mass or popular culture. Since this is constantly changing, so do the careers of these artists. Some, the least prepared ones, may even get consumed in the process, like Britney Spears, for instance. But being blind and dismissive of pop culture as you are is just stupid.
