@Ace111694 Blue fire simply means more energy - a higher temperature. Watch the light of a candle very CLOSELY and you'll notice many different colors in different areas. Google for "light wavelengths chart" and have a look - red flames actually have the lowest temperature (equals energy of the emitted photons). So by giving Azula's flame a blue color they want to show that the fire she produces is so much hotter (than that of other fire benders).

Yep! I love how the creators incorperated future characters in the opening sequence. It show's how much thought goes into the series, right from the beginning. The waterbender is Paku, the earthbender, well, I always thought it was "The Boulder" but apparently it's Sud, Roku's earthbending master. The firebender is Azula, and the airbender, I think, is a monk on the airbender council.

Its Aang because Monk Gyatso doesn't wear that outfit. Gyatso wears a full cloak like thing. Aang has the little poncho on, which is seen in the video.
The order is Master Pakku, Avatar Roku's earthbending teacher OR Toph's original design, Azula, and Monk Gyatso. It's Monk Gyatso because in Book 1 Water, Chapter 3: The Southern Air Temple, Aang, Katara, and Sokka are staring at his statue. Katara asks who it is and Aang replies: “ Thats Monk Gyatso, the greatest airbender in the world.” The creators of the show made the opening sequence have the four nations greatest benders. So it can't be Aang even though he's the avatar.

in the intro who is the fire bender??? it cant be Azula, he fire is blue because i burns hotter than most. Azula can bend regular fire but cannot create it. It cant be Zuko....look at the hair......
@TheJokerGirl13 the firebender is Azula the character was still in development. As for the earthbender, it isn't The Boulder. It was suppose to be Toph, They had originally written the part as a smart mouth teenager but they went with the girl. So they decided to reuse the design for the earthbending master that taught Roku.

3. Yes, it is Azula. Her character was not well developed until season two, so it's possible they did not intend her fire to be bright hot blue yet. Also, it is likely they would have wanted to show "normal" firebending, resulting in the orange flame. It could also be Azula at a younger age, as her fire was not always blue.
If you're an Avatar fan and you don't know who they are, I'm not going to bother telling you. Look it up. And if you watch the video in good quality and pause it over the air section, you can see Monk Pasang's facial hair

I looked it up on the Avatar Wiki, and I know that it still is a wiki and may not be perfect, but it is the best Avatar resource available for those seeking knowlege of the Avatar Universe. It lists the earthbender as "Sud or Toph's original design" since there is debate, and Aang/Pasang as an "unknown airbender." Also, Roku's earthbending teaching and Pasang rarely appear and are barely mentioned by name anyway. Most people don't know them.
@RockoRamaProductions Watchers say that the silhouette of the airbender is Aang, but as a show critic, it is very common and maybe it is a tactic not to show the main character as one of the first few characters of a show, and that may include the theme song. Maybe, it is Gyatso or Pasang, but i am 70% sure that it is not Aang. And BTW, you are right about Sud. The only time he appeared on the series is just very short, he was a recycled idea of Toph shown in the Avatar and the Firelord.

Im really starting to wonder why in the world everyone sees a mustache. There is no way theres a mustache there because its aang. and aang doesnt have a mustache. there is no mustache, and you cant trust wiki to always be right, especially when the devs say its aang

The order actually goes
Master Pakku, Roku's Earthbending Master, Azula, and Aang
Its Aang because Monk Gyatso doesn't wear that outfit. Gyatso wears a full cloak like thing. Aang has the little poncho on, which is seen in the video.

The order is Master Pakku, Avatar Roku's earthbending teacher OR Toph's original design, Azula, and Monk Gyatso. It's Monk Gyatso because in Book 1 Water, Chapter 3: The Southern Air Temple, Aang, Katara, and Sokka are staring at his statue. Katara asks who it is and Aang replies: “ Thats Monk Gyatso, the greatest airbender in the world.” The creators of the show made the opening sequence have the four nations greatest benders. So it can't be Aang even though he's the avatar.

Ok I'm pretty sure the order is this: Master Pakku, Roku's earthbending master OR Toph's original design before the creators of the show decided to make her a blind girl, Azula, and Monk Gyatso. I've seen comments saying that it's Monk Pasang??? I don't even remember who he is. Could anybody tell me who Monk Pasang is?????? Anyway if you think differently about the order of people, respond to me and tell me what you think it is!

i hav a question that has confused me ever since Azula was introduced in the series.
3 CANNOT be Azula
in the intro who is the fire bender??? it cant be Azula, he fire is blue because i burns hotter than most. Azula can bend regular fire but cannot create it. It cant be Zuko....look at the hair......

2. Toph (her original character was meant to be a male, and they never edited it)
3. Azula (people don't know why they didn't give her blue flames, but maybe they're normal so that it represents the element, not her)

@TheJokerGirl13 the firebender is Azula the character was still in development. As for the earthbender, it isn't The Boulder. It was suppose to be Toph, They had originally written the part as a smart mouth teenager but they went with the girl. So they decided to reuse the design for the earthbending master that taught Roku.

3. Yes, it is Azula. Her character was not well developed until season two, so it's possible they did not intend her fire to be bright hot blue yet. Also, it is likely they would have wanted to show "normal" firebending, resulting in the orange flame. It could also be Azula at a younger age, as her fire was not always blue.

If you're an Avatar fan and you don't know who they are, I'm not going to bother telling you. Look it up. And if you watch the video in good quality and pause it over the air section, you can see Monk Pasang's facial hair

@halogamb Actually, you are both partially right. I looked it up on the Avatar Wiki, and I know that it still is a wiki and may not be perfect, but it is the best Avatar resource available for those seeking knowlege of the Avatar Universe. It lists the earthbender as "Sud or Toph's original design" since there is debate, and Aang/Pasang as an "unknown airbender." Also, Roku's earthbending teaching and Pasang rarely appear and are barely mentioned by name anyway. Most people don't know them.

@RockoRamaProductions Watchers say that the silhouette of the airbender is Aang, but as a show critic, it is very common and maybe it is a tactic not to show the main character as one of the first few characters of a show, and that may include the theme song. Maybe, it is Gyatso or Pasang, but i am 70% sure that it is not Aang. And BTW, you are right about Sud. The only time he appeared on the series is just very short, he was a recycled idea of Toph shown in the Avatar and the Firelord.

@BenderPictures Technically, it was originally meant to be Toph, but Toph's entire character design changed, and her original design was recycled as Roku's earthbending master. So the argument could be made for either one of them.

Vatten. Jord. Eld. Luft. För länge sedan levde de fyra nationerna tillsammans i harmoni. Men allt förändrades när eldnationen gick till anfall. Endast avataren, mästaren av alla fyra element, kunde stoppa dem. Men när världen behövde honom som mest, försvann han. Hundra år senare upptäckte jag och min bror den nya avataren. En luftbändare vid namn Aang. Men trots sin skicklighet i luftbändning har han mycket att lära innan han kan rädda någonting. Men jag tror att Aang kan rädda världen.
