Other countries should stay away from Philippines internal affairs, funding these militants is a violation of International laws. The incompetent government officials should have addressed this situation in the UN before. It's a sad travesty these challenges the nation have been facing for centuries since the Spanish colonization.
They can only blame themselves for problems these conflicts have created which seems a common part of lives of Filipinos, who like to organized to voice their opinions when they feel they're being treated unjustly instead of relying on the justice system.

I am for peace in Mindanao but this agreement is between the government and the militants who do not represent the interest and welfare of the majority in Mindanao.
The reason some Muslims are supporting the militants because other radical Muslims diluted their minds by a concept having their own separate state in a Christian dominated population while ignoring the detrimental repercussions caused by the rebellion which overwhelmingly affected so their lives..

An alternative solution to the conflict is for MILF to gradually disband while the GRP provide more basic needs and assistance such as legal services, establishment of more schools, promotion of business enterprise and economic opportunities for the Moro people.
