There's if a differance between hearing what someone's saying and agreeing with it. Not voting is even worse than voting for the "lesser of two evils". Because by not voting you're giveing half your vote to Barack and half to McCaine. If you think the system has "failed" you, than why are you supporting both leading candidates by not voting, instead of supporting someone independent that you can agree with on most issues.

I live in a poor neighborhood too! And I don't think America's system perfect, I'd like government to be a lot more decentralized. But America still has one of the best systems of the world. The poor neighborhoods we live in are actually amonge the richest in the world, most people of the world live in much worse tyranny and poverty, imagine having to worry about clean water to drink. I support voting because I support democracy. Not voting leads us in the opposite direction.
