I graduated from a public high school here in Iowa and I am glad that I attended a community college first. Although it may seem like a low way to start out after high school, it is an easy way to figure out good study habits and of course meet new people and see where you stand academically.
If you need to get those basic classes out of the way first, then a community college is a good way to go. Most cc students live on their own and some do part time cc classes and part time uni classes.
@HeatherAlamo eeeeeh idk if i wanna go to a community college. the thing is, I really really like small classes, and that's really important for my learning.
Yeah I hear you. What is nice about most community colleges, most classes do have a small number of students. I know that I did not have more than 15 students in most of my classes with the exception of sciences, drawing, painting and sociology. In addition, I too, had to have small classes to help me with my learning style.
Understandably, I know that NYC has large class sizes when it comes to its community colleges and universities. NJ might serve your needs if you live home.
I was thinking about applying to bennington! but there were a lot of bad student reviews so my mom was like 'no'. lolol but I really wanna go to vermont as well
@avantgarde93 - Vermont has other options: Bennington College Burlington College Castleton State College Champlain College College of St. Joseph Community College of Vermont Goddard College Green Mountain College Johnson State College Landmark College Lyndon State College Marlboro College Middlebury College New England Culinary Institute Norwich University Saint Michael's College Southern Vermont College Sterling College University of Vermont Vermont Technical College
@ProFriend I know vermont has other options..... lol i've looked into a bunch of them and either they don't have what I want to study or my parents can't pay for it or they're religious affiliated schools.
I've picked about 20 schools but they are all art schools which don't want much. :)
