I have had two problems in the four years I have had my Nova. First last year I was having failure to fire, turns out my hammer spring just wore out. So what big deal, springs will wear out on any gun. Problem two, on a sub zero day I droped by nova in the river, on the next group of ducks my gun wouldn't fire. Turns out the trigger mechanism froze. I took out my gerber, chipped the ice away best I could and was back shooting in no time. I love my nova!!!!
Perfect gun if your duck hunting in the marshes, I've dropped mine in mud before and I just swished it in the water and it shot fine all day, never freezes up and super easy to clean, dont waste your money on a stoeger they are awful spend the 200 or whatever more and you get an extremely relyable gun period
@jimulomotocrosser I've never had one problem with my stoeger. I have the 2011 model semi auto and it hasnt failed me yet. I hunted snows in the mud with it. Went on many goosehunting trips and duck hunting trips without failing me including north dakota and canada. Its not a bad gun, just show them some care and they are fine. I've had the chamber get a little slow a few times but all i do is squirt a bunch of oil all over n she works like a charm. Benelli is a nicer gun but you will pay for it
i got a super nova last year, and holy shit this is the highest quality pump i ever held and owned, and i do have a mossberg 500 and a remington 870 aswell good guns, but nothing like the super nova, fired over 2000 shells out of it and its still going without a misfire, jam, nothing.

go get urself a mossberg 935 or 930 or a beretta al391 urika or a browning maxus autoloading shotguns are the best for hunting ducks dove pigeons...pump actions are only for turkey hunting that's because they are like a pain in the ass after each shot u gotta reload peace up...

got the Benelli SuperNova Tactical W.gost ring. its smooth as silk. wanted the M4 but 1499 is more than i wanted to spend at the time, its my next purchase though. want the Benelli mag extender but there almost as much as the gun,guess ill get the TacStar
Brilliant overall design, flawless inertia system, action smooth as ice on ice. Love the tactical configuration in desert camo, this is Italian engineering at its best.
Just bought my supernova in realtree camo, have yet to hunt with it tho. Shot clays with it, smooth as all get out! The only thing that sucks is getting a slug barrel is hard as heck and will run around $350-$375...o well, thats the price for a great and dependable gun. Ya get what ya pay for!!

I've had a Supernova for a year now. Flawless function, tough as nails. No failures to fire with Federal shells. Great for hunting and clay shooting. Very easy to strip & clean. Get one & you'll be happy.
i dunno about the Remington, but the Mossberg I bought last Fall sucked ass, total crappy craftsmanship....I'll stick with my Browning BPS thank you very much.
while mallard hunting, my friend fell and dropped his super nova in the southern mud, we got to the blind and he cleaned it out and use that damb thing all day no problems if I dropped my beretta xtrema2 in that muddy shit I would be screwed. I bought on after the season was over.
I have owned a super nova for 2 years now. It has been through numerous duck/goose hunts in ALL weather conditions that Minnesota and North Dakota could throw at it.
I would recommend this gun to anyone who still uses a pump. You will not be disappointed!

Love the boomstick, I got the supernova max4 HD. Fit's me like a glove, aims naturally. But there's no ComforTech with steadygrip, unless I missed something. ComforTech only comes with field stock.

It a hell of a trap gun. I went out today I had a horrible day I got a 10?25 with my Rem. 870.
I then used my Friends supernova and got a 23/25.

The Supernova comes with 3 chokes, IC, Mod, and Full. You can use either lead or steel with IC or Mod, but when using Full choke its lead only.
